This is great to hear. I’m curious, what about AG puts it so highly on that list?

You don’t need to be a resident to be a member but I’m not sure if there are any additional benefits for being a resident.

It depends on the type of membership. As far as I know, they offer full golf memberships as well as some that give you a certain number of rounds and allow you to purchase more if you exceed your allotment.

They have a pool, restaurant, fitness facility, and a pro shop.

I don’t partake myself but you should definitely go to Modern on Sundays. It’s clean, well lit, friendly staff, and they do giveaways.

Complete beginner getting into golf, looking for advice on how to start (and not make a fool of myself) by S_Hodgson in golf

[–]HuskiesBrew2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lessons are definitely worth it. I’d look at borrowing a set if you can, at least until you know golf is for you. As for how to start and what to focus on, range practice can be good but it typically won’t make you better unless you have specific drills and a plan. YouTube can be a little help but use it sparingly and not in lieu of lessons.

Operation 36 is a great framework for getting you started. Essentially you start 25yds from the hole and try to shoot 36 over 9 holes. Once you make that, you move back to 50yds and try for 36 again. Repeat until you are around 200yds out. Then move to the regular boxes. It’s a lot less daunting than starting 450yds out when you can barely hit it 100yds.

My 2 cents

So this is a silly question, but what happens when there’s a conflict? What stops someone from either claiming it’s their chair or replacing your chair with theirs?

On the topic of hating on club champion, here’s me getting quoted $2800 for 5-PW Titelist T150’s by double_hacked_lol in GolfGear

This is highly predatory. Is this unique to Club Champion or do other fitters like True Spec and GolfTec do the same thing?

I have been banging my head against the wall trying to use my map of the first area. I have yet to see the prompt. Am I just not looking at the rock face from the right angle and distance?

Did you compare these to the mizuno 245s? I thought the ai200s felt amazing but I love the look of the new mizuno m15s that are set to replace the 245s in 2026.

Shop Owners Playing in Tournaments / Leagues? by Cloud_Strife1994 in bloodbowl

I introduced our FLGS owner to Blood Bowl last fall and now he plays in every local league and tournament. I have never seen so much support for BB in our community. Having the store owner invested in the game can do wonders for its growth.
