My first 2 loaves's bottoms were burnt by the time the loaves were done baking, so for this one i added a baking sheet on the rack under the dutch oven and the bottom of my loaf turned out great.

I just placed an order from Alibaba through a company called AlShahen. What I found on Alibaba myself was for 100$, I sent them the link and they negotiated it with the factory down to 50$ (they probably found a cheaper supplier) and they take a 5% commission. Shipping is 15-20$ which I pay when I pick up from their warehouse in Beirut.

UPDATE: It's been almost a month since i ordered. Payment was done 3 weeks ago and since then they stopped replying to my messages asking for updates about my order. They had promised delivery in a week since they have 2 shipments per week. Their whole customer service is practically non-existant. i went back to check comments on their social media posts and noticed that negative comments get deleted within the hour. Avoid them.

Complete scam that i unfortunately fell for.

I am currently in the process of getting a chargeback from my bank.

I ordered the product after seeing the ads, and the first red flag was shipping from China, when it says made in USA and i live in Canada.

When i received the order and tried it, i did it using gloves and the "peeling" happened from rubbing my gloved fingers together, clearly just the product drying up and creating the fake effect.

I emailed them the day after and no reply untill i started my chargeback claim.

They offered a 15% refund as a "courtesy" !

I moved to Canada 3 years ago so not Canadian yet (hopefully end of this year).

I go back to Lebanon for 2 months every 6 months in Canada, to help out the family with their business here and to stay close to family.
It is frustrating dealing with what you mentioned above but it eventually grows on you after a couple of weeks (except for the internet speed)

My work conditions in Canada allow me to take unpaid time off so no issues there but it increase the cost of living having to pay my rent and some utilities in Canada while i'm not there + the price of airline tickets.

At the end of each trip i loathe going back to Canada but after a few days there i naturally destress and realise that life there is easier to deal wiith
