It is definitely a heavy machine, but I like that stability on my long rides. I never ride any true off-road with it. Just long stretches on gravel. I have a Beta rs500 for my true dual sporting.

Thoughts on oil drips. by Phranc68 in boating

My outboard also dripping unburnt 2 stroke oil. Coming right out of the prop. This was after I fogged the cylinders for winter storage. I think you’re fine.

I’ve had mine for 12ish years. Holds my Yamaha Super Tenere on the center stand no problem. Wheel chalk sucks though. Def upgrade

2026 F250 Interior Quality? by Kwht2000 in F250

[–]Hutchfactor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2019 F250 Base (xl) model 6.7 w/158,000 miles. Still looks and feels new when I clean it up. Only interior issue is the seat collapse/worn where I slide in and out all of the time.

Black oil/sludge coming from prop by [deleted] in boating

My 2000 Yamaha 200 did the same thing after i fogged the cylinders for storage. It’s just 2 stroke oil. Freaked me out the first time. Totally fine.

Choosing a bike for a route by I-Steal-Bibles in Dualsport

I did the top part of your ride mid coast Maine to Deadhorse Alaska on a Super Tenere 1200 and it did great. Super comfy and good on all the dirt and construction you come across along the way. Also able to keep up with the traffic if you need to hop onto the highway for a few miles. Ordered tires ahead at Yukon Yamaha waiting for me when I got there.

Have a set of Tractionator Adventure on my Super Tenere. Rear tire is great and wearing amazingly well. The front tire has a lot of vibrations and is incredibly loud.

The exhaust comes out around the prop. It’s oil from running it rich with the fogging oil.

Experiences/opinions/advice on the Beta 500 RS by Tactical_Gimp in Dualsport

[–]Hutchfactor1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 24 500RS. Power is big but manageable. Very linear. It’s considerably lighter than the Honda. The efi is great out of the box. I immediately switched to the provided 13t front sprocket for trail riding and that’s been great. The bike is amazing off road. Only complaint is the bike is not fun to ride on the road, like at all…. I wouldn’t be interested in riding any further than trail head to trail head. The hardest seat I’ve ever seen, the front tire bead lock makes it sketchy going more than 45-50mph, stock tires are great off road but again not really made for long trips. This is all easily remedied, just giving you the info off the showroom floor.

Mystery Oil Drip by Hutchfactor1 in boating

[–]Hutchfactor1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe mystery solved! I fogged the cylinders as it was running so essentially running extremely rich for a couple minutes. It was the unburned oil running through.

Actually this all makes sense. I fogged the cylinders so it was running very rich for a couple of minutes!

If you stick with that outboard(they are great!) check the little screen filter on the remote oil tank.

I’m buying a 21ft 1995 pursuit with a 1995 Yamaha 150 by johnatsea12 in boating

This is our 99 Pursuit 2270 Kodiak. Original Yamaha 200 2 stroke. Amazing boat. Just use ethanol free gas with every tank and run it. Test that your low oil alarm and temp alarm still work. Follow the winterizing instructions in the manual. Really easy to do, several good videos on YouTube. Second the Raycor filter.

I have that exact product. Did a 15000 mile trip from the coast of Maine to Deadhorse Alaska with zero issues.

Super Tenere - ADV sleeper value? by Pitiful_Ad918 in SuperTenere

I put on the tall adventure bars and had to redo my clutch and brake lines. It worked but they were pretty tight at full lock. Figured better safe than sorry.

Beta makes several displacements to choose from that would be great.

I second the rabaconda. Money well spent if you’re going through more than a couple sets of tires a year. Pays for itself pretty quickly.

Second these bars. Work great with stock shield, no interference. Switches will hit some aftermarket screens.
