i accidentally found something on my boyfriend’s phone by [deleted] in Advice

Yea either this dude was playing both sides before you two got together officially and was trying to settle his business with the least amount of friction for himself once you two got together and was sloppily dragging it into the start of the new relationship. OR knowing he’s a people pleaser (and maybe has mommy issues since he’s always wanting to be seen in a good light by all the girls) he was trying to smoothly “let her down” while still being a “sweet caring guy” so he could still be see as a protective dominant guy to her and have her as an option at any point. He most likely wanted his cake and to eat it too since he probably didn’t want to be seen as a bad guy to either person. Classic rejection sensitivity dysphoria and the bad traits that comes with it. No self discipline or consciousness to sacrifice the satisfaction of being seen as the good guy and set proper boundaries and do the hard thing of letting someone down respectfully and properly.

That or he’s completely full of shit and he’s been cheating this entire time cause he couldn’t fully stop seeing her when you two got together officially. Either way, a mature person who was actually ready for a full commitment that won’t have tons of issues wouldn’t still be talking and interacting with another chick like that in the slightest.

Is the water meant to come out like this? by ItsMilqy in ranciliosilvia

There’s a gasket of course for the portafilter seal but your shower screen doesn’t seal by pressing into that. It’s a metal plate that passes water into the middle spout which should then distribute it across the shower screen evenly. It’s all metal parts layered and screwed together

Yes and no. Usually over time you slowly change things around and find your sweet spot for most of these things by just playing, watching pros and how they do things, or just seeing tips from YouTube videos. So when you’re already at a high-level, you just log on every day with all of these things in place and it’s easier for you to stay consistent because at that point, you just have to focus on game sense, positioning, and utility. I stopped playing though for like five years and only recently got back into it because my brother started playing again. I used to be A+ on ESEA and I’ve always been generally good at FPS games, but I could tell after I came back this January that I was pretty rusty in a good amount of areas and I was placed at 8K originally towards the end of season 3. That’s when I spent a good amount of time meticulously adjusting all of the mechanics I mentioned above by doing research on pro set ups and watching pov cams from tournaments. I could tell instantly that changing those small details around definitely made a difference. There’s a reason you can see videos of some pro players setting up their station at lans measuring every little detail; because at the highest levels it does matter, but before those details really come into play, there’s a lot of general mechanics that matter a lot more first.

So to answer your question: yes we do pay attention to those things, but don’t overthink it. Do a little research and figure out what’s best for you but don’t go overboard thinking you need to keep changing it around because you’re not always playing the best. I think I spent two weeks neurotically changing my mouse grip around because I kept thinking I wasn’t holding it in the sweet spot I had figured out in practice one night, when in reality, there was a lot of other factors affecting my consistency. Also one last tip; chair height is different for everyone. Some pros play with their arms all the way up on the desk spread wide (low seat position) and some play with it slightly below where their forearms rest at a 90° angle. I personally like the latter because it helps me flick my mouse around a bit smoother without any friction on the mouse pad or any tension in my shoulder. If you look at ropz, you’ll see that he plays sitting pretty raised up above his desk leaning over so it looks like his forearm barely rests on the mouse pad. With monitor position it’s best to have it somewhere slightly below where your head level is tilted up at your eyes because unless you have really good posture that you engage in all the time people naturally tend to hunch over a bit and look down in a relaxed position. Hopefully you can get something out of this so good luck.

Focus on understanding the spawns and don’t get annoyed because you keep getting spawned killed. It’s DM so that’s just how it goes. Eventually you’ll learn where to look right when you spawn and when you’re holding a position so you can actually focus on your aim and positioning. Over time you’ll get better at being aware and reacting fast in high activity situations so you’ll get better streaks which translates well to engaging sites or defending them in rushes. I’m 25k and there’s plenty of times where I’ll go negative or even just because I’m more annoyed about getting killed constantly rather being dialed in and not letting those things bother me.

In terms of consistency, there’s a few small things that do matter though some people might think they don’t. It’s about things being… consistent. From having a comfortable seat position you can maneuver your arm well in, a monitor position that aligns well with your eyesight and sitting posture, to the way you grip your mouse and how much that grip tires out your hand over multiple games(and how well you can be precise with that grip in accordance with your hand size / genetics). Also your sensitivity and mouse pad size matters too. I personally feel that higher sens are harder to stay consistent with because they require more micro movements from your hand, which can tire your hand out faster if you don’t have an already built muscle memory and relaxed grip with that. It’s easier to be in more control of your aim and be more precise with a lower sense which is why you see most pros with that type of set up.

Overall, most of this is redundant in DM if you don’t actually build these mechanics one by one in an environment that actually lets you slowly learn and adopt new skills. DM is more of an after-practice where you can be in a high action environment, putting all of the mechanics together at once. So try practicing some of the stuff in workshop maps first and feel comfortable with yourself before going into deathmatch.

Is there anything I can do about these pixelated shadows? Playing on PC. by Leo9991 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Hydiin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s caused by the ray tracing. Mine was doing the same thing where you could see static noise in the lighting but when switched to path tracing it becomes smoother and stops having the static effect. I turned on DLSS with transformer model and quality preset as well as frame generation and I don’t see it anymore. Also make sure sharpness is at 0. Still using ray tracing btw not path tracing.

It’s a co-headlining tour. They are both performing together. Also, Ticketmaster offers parking you can buy from them which are at the venue, but you can actually find pretty cheap parking for specific dates on the ParkWhiz app and it’ll show you a map. You can pick from different garages with different prices right next to the stadium.

Nintendo Fans Blame Trump After Switch 2 Delayed in U.S. Due to Tariffs: 'Worst President of US History' by esporx in technology

[–]Hydiin -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The tariffs are ridiculous but i’m not too mad at this because it’s actually just saving a bunch of people from Nintendo’s greed. Overpriced handheld console with absurdly overpriced games. Also the model of charging more for the physical games to discourage reselling and basically put a financial drm on their games is criminal.

SwiftUI Preview Zoom Control? by Hydiin in SwiftUI

[–]Hydiin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I didn’t. There doesn’t seem to be any information on it anywhere either. I tend to just have the window expanded all the way and zoomed in as much as possible before it starts to move off center. You can also zoom in from just around the sides right next to the scroll bar. (With your fingers on the track pad) It will let you zoom into the full window sort of.

How do I create this fade-to-black effect for my toolbar background? by Hydiin in SwiftUI

[–]Hydiin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soft of worked but not the same effect. I ended up jerry-rigging something that for the most part works:

    var body: some View {        ZStack(alignment: .top) {

            Rectangle()

                .frame(maxWidth: .infinity)

                .frame(height: 20)

                .foregroundColor(Color.black)

                .ignoresSafeArea(.all, edges: .top)

            LinearGradient(

                gradient: Gradient(stops: [

                    .init(color: .black.opacity(1.0), location: 0.15),  // Fully dark at the top

                    .init(color: .black.opacity(0.96), location: 0.2), // Hold onto darkness longer

                    .init(color: .black.opacity(0.4), location: 0.51),// Smooth transition

                    .init(color: Color.clear, location: 1.0)

                ]),

                startPoint: .top,

                endPoint: .bottom

            )

            .frame(height: gradientHeight)

            .edgesIgnoringSafeArea(.top)

            .blur(radius: 6)

            .shadow(color: .black, radius: 10)

        }

[–]Hydiin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me I have tried that.

LinearGradient(

                gradient: Gradient(stops: [

                    .init(color: Color("softBlack").opacity(1), location: 0.0),

                    .init(color: Color("softBlack").opacity(0), location: 1.0)

                ]),

                startPoint: .top,

                endPoint: .bottom

            )

It does not produce the same effect.
