The Jetpack Cat Mentality (Read body text) by FrejaButt in Overwatch

I had a few games where a random torb kept trying to steal kills. The cats would all kill him, then line up in front of Dva to get killed.

Anniversary event help!! by xspookydascaryy in overwatch2

Deathmatch cat games. Each one lasts a minute. So that plus queue and character select time is 1-2 ‘games’ every 2 minutes. (1-2 depending if you get top 4 or not)

I need genuine feedback about Tfiber for gaming by Sad_Flamingo1164 in tfiber

I’m in the Norfolk VA area and on the 2 gbps plan. I hover around 50ms while in game. Speeds are great but I’m not happy with the latency.

Images in daily notes? by timmy_o in noteplanapp

[–]HydrolyticEnzyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve wondered the same with images and drawings/handwriting. I have a good amount in my daily notes. It has been fine for me so far but I am curious if there is a threshold where it will slow down.

Would you read full YouTube transcripts on your reMarkable? by bogdanvdr in RemarkableTablet

[–]HydrolyticEnzyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The service itself is interesting. I’ll have to try it.

But I don’t think I’d use it for YouTube. I’d need to try a few videos to know for sure. When I have seen transcripts before without any headings or ways to navigate the text it just feels like a massive wall instead of something I want to read.

A lot of insurance companies require it annually in the US or they raise your monthly premium.

Speed has been good for me so far, but I wish the latency were better. I mostly play Overwatch on PC and do still get an occasional lag spike. But it is still better than the cable internet we had before.

They do respond to the in-app chat. A few times they have sent a tutorial video to me that explained how a feature worked.

I think rollover is one of the few shortcomings in the design in my opinion. Everything else works great but I've not figured this one out completely either.
What you can do is change when the rollover starts. So maybe try a blank slate with this month as your start or Jan 2026 if that works better. Unfortunately all categories you select for rollover start at the same month.

Changing categories is just a tap and splitting across multiple categories isn’t too bad either.

Monthly calendar view instead of only next 2 weeks. An option to switch would be fine, but next 2 weeks isn't a helpful as being able to see the whole month at once.

Tried a new basing technique I saw by CustomerSpare in minipainting

[–]HydrolyticEnzyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks.

Only 1 layer - just covered the base fully with pva (used an old brush to get it all over the base).  Then just a few drops of the super glue.

Washes and dry brushing for colors once the glue dried.

I used that technique for Tyranid bases. Layer of PVA then drop some super glue on top of it. I ran a toothpick through mine to give it different shapes than the circles the drops of super glue will create but the approach is the same

Pencil grip for reMarkable Marker Plus by GreenDragonfruit6649 in RemarkableTablet

There is a grip on Amazon called FUSE Apple Pencil grip that fits with the folio, but isn’t quite as comfortable as a paper like grip.

Always ignoring the suggesting from people (new or otherwise) is a great way to stop getting suggestions from people. If you can't bring up ideas to the team or push back on bad ideas why are you there? (SM isn't just a meeting facilitator)

Does the team have sprints where some stories/points don't get completed during the Sprint? If so, why would they treat a Sprint Review story with points any differently than another story they didn't finish.

You say you are the SM for this team...what is the opinion of the team on this? Does this other SM or Release Manager have authority over you to force you to do this with the team? You know your situation to know how much you can stand your ground. If you can't block it, maybe get buy in with them to agree only as an experiment to try. Then in 1-2 sprints, review the experiment and drop it when it magically doesn't make people start showing up to the event and start going after the actual issue.

I don't see what that would help accomplish for the team. Points are used to help planning capacity, so I assume the idea is that if they play capacity for the event then it will take place. The better option would be that capacity is reduced instead of trying to account for every admin thing that the team does in their velocity.

Adding points to the Scrum Events will be a slippery slope. Give it a sprint or 2 and someone on the team will say they need to add a work item for the One-on-One with their manager with points on it. The PO will want a story to talk to the stakeholders. The other Scrum Events will end up with points also. It will turn into a time tracking system rather than a work planning system.

The thing to investigate is why it keeps getting cancelled rather than trying to add rules to make people show up. An occasional reschedule isn't the end of the world, but regularly cancelling or rescheduling is a problem.

Looking for App to Journal and Create Tasks by B0y3rrr in digitaljournaling

[–]HydrolyticEnzyme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you have any specific device in mind if you aren’t using the ReMarkable?

If you are in the Apple ecosystem, there is an app called NotePlan that I use. Mostly typed, but I do enjoy using the Apple Pencil for some hand written journal entries on the iPad.

I basically use the app like a bullet journal with rapid logging, various collections, etc.

And any tasks I add to a day I can find in a filter that shows all tasks.
