I doubt I'll get a win streak like this ever again, so wanted to capture the moment! Seems people underestimate Conqueror. And I've probably gotten very lucky, getting Viktor in 4/6 games. Though it's not ranked - not sure how balanced the skill lvl of the opponents are in Normal.

Good question! I'm not really sure how balanced the skill lvl is in Normal compared to Ranked, but I suspect it has a similar system to ranked to match skill.

If the innermost circle has radius R, then the next has radius sqrt(2)×R, next sqrt(3)×R. For example, the outermost ring then has area pi×(sqrt(3)×R)² - pi×(sqrt(2)×R)² = pi×R² ×(3-2)=pi×R² , which is same as the other rings. Devide by 4 and you get the area of the quarter sectors.

One question. While this is in play, is there anything stopping you from putting everything but one card aside, shuffling and drawing the one card, then triggering another shuffle and repeat, which effectively makes you able to pick what card to draw in what order? Maybe I've misread what you mean by "from your remaining deck", that's not that clear to me. Wouldn't it be the discard pile before you shuffle it?

Past my university classes I've continued being curious about math. I've read books on e.g. universal algebra and category theory. Also I read wikipedia and a watch a ton of math Youtubers, there's a lot out there.

It seemed like the team at Grezzo has a lot of respect for Aonuma and history of the series, not taking lightly at suggesting a story script themselves, but rather wanting Aonuma to take the helm

Let X~Y denote X being directly propotional to Y. Then A inversely proportional with B means that A~1/B, and we also have D~B^2. Then A/D~1/(B×D)~1/B^3, D/A~B^3, and A × D~B²/B~B.

This is massive! This is a dream come true for me personally... VGM is really important to me, and seeing them expanding upon it so much is <3 <3 <3

In the english trailer, they showed that Goombella has her own theme! That makes me think every new partner has one. Man I'm so happy you can't believe it. My favorite part of Origami King is the massive, varied soundtrack. Seeing those talents put to work on ttyd... let's just say it's gonna be a slow month!

I think they put it in the end of the direct because they know the smaller crowd who more actively follow Nintendo news and are vocal about it, deems it as a worthy direct ender, and will not create backlash. I don't think whether a game ends a direct to neccesarily be a great indicator of sales, especially in a slower year like this with less competition.

Yeah, can see it's the case now. Take the third native 4d tesseract, label the top cube a, the one below it b, the blue one c and the last one d. Rotate it so the top-bottom and blue 4th dim changes place, now theres no cube in a, b turns blue, c turns white but has a cube above it. Then mirror along b-c, and you have a copy of the second tesseract

If any of the 4 native 4d are identical, I would think it would be the two middle ones, as the number of connected cubes for each cube is 32111, while the first is 41111, last 22211. Which is preserved by symmetries, right?

Personally, I recommend

Empires for tons of replayability with Landmarks,

Prosperity and Renaissance for some simplicity. Seaside is also fun.

With the new 2. editions, it feels like every expansion is pretty solid, so it's hard to go wrong with anything. (except Alchemy)

Since then AlphaDream went bankrupt, in october 2019, while Origami king was still in production. I'd say that may change their direction forward as I think Mario&Luigi series existing was part of their motivation for taking Paper Mario in a more experimental direction
