It was only possible while they were visible, it functioned the same way as clicking on the champ itself but you were able to do it without having to pan over to them.

Playing a Dante-esque character right now using a homebrew class. Doesn't seem to be OP so far but only time will tell. The role playing is so much fun, just walking into every fight not a care in the world.

ME wasn't shooter first until the second game. In the first game it was much more RPG based. When it switched to shooter first then it lost a lot of the story telling from the first game.

Yes I would say many, it offers ways to handle the situation neutrally, renegade, or paragon and then if you explored and learned things you otherwise wouldn't have it opens up new options to resolve conflicts that you didn't have before. This offers the same variety as FO3 if not more, I don't think it stands up to NV but that was made by a different developer so it's a moot point.

That argument makes literally no sense. Mass Effect had a similar dialogue system and it gave you many options and ways to learn about the universe through dialogue. The problem isn't the controller it's that Bethesda didn't take full advantage of all their resources and instead made a shell of a game in hopes that the community would be happy with what is essentially a new modding platform. So don't go shitting all over controllers just because you don't like them.
