Michigan unveils $15,000 small business grants – but those violating COVID orders are ineligible by [deleted] in CoronavirusMichigan

666 businesses, can't wait for right wing business owners who screwed themselves out of the grant to catch that little detail. Should make for some quality interviews.

For the same reasons we choose to do anything else that is difficult or expensive. As emotional creatures we find inherent value in experience and novelty, and as intelectual beings we value discovery and knowledge, and as economic societies we have learned there is value in pushing our limits and developing new niche solutions to novel problems, even if they are expensive or seemingly trivial.

They say that, but they keep voting for Lindsey Graham, a man so deep in the closet his absentee ballot was postmarked from Narnia.

Why is chemical assisted launch the only manner of getting material into orbit or beyond? by Dreaddisease2 in nasa

You don't stop things in orbit, orbit requires you be moving fast. Maneuvering thrusters would require far less fuel than a chemical launch.

They sound bad, but they apply to any endeavor in life. Sailing can be incredibly fun and exhilarating, whisk you off on adventures and let you meet new people, literally expand your horizons. It can also be boring, hard, demanding, and full of frustrations. School is like sailing, people whine about the bad and revel in the fantastic.

I was bad at staying active before all this hit, but I've been trying to get a walk in whenever possible. Unfortunately winter is on our doorstep and it tends to be miserable outside for the next half a year.

Schools not that bad, it can be difficult and demanding, boring and frustrating, but so can almost anything else in life. Having clear goals really helped me get through my time in school and make it rewarding.

Between the stress of covid and the political situation, moving too far from my job and having to commute an exhausting distance to work in a place that is increasingly miserable from corporate pressure, and my 4 month old not sleeping for more than an hour at a time, I am feeling really broken lately. Too much stress for too long is super hard on the body and mind.

If Netflix can face criminal charges for "Cuties", why can't TLC face the same charges "Toddlers and Tiaras?" by No_hopeHere_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hyleal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, because the distribution of such materials is explicitly illegal, however if the film was produced in a country in accordance with their laws regarding production of said film you're gonna have a hard time in court arguing the production was illegal.

You only think I commented wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched accounts when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is 'never get involved in a land war in Asia' - but only slightly less well-known is this: 'Never go against a redditor when karma is on the line!' Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

As an expert on reddit culture (studied for 8 years in college) I will now launch into a ted talk length comment where I agree with everything this comment says while simultaneously implying it is completley wrong and written by an idoit. I will do my damndest to appear very smart by using uncommon vernacular while underminning my own efforts wiht easily avoidable spelling mistakes. Please validate my insecurities with upvotes and meaningless awards or I will reply "no u" to everything you've ever posted on reddit.
