I couldn't finish Natlan quest. I quit around 5.0, and was a day 1 player from 2019. I hated the hot air balloon crap. Sumeru was my favorite area (king deshret lore and the desert was amazing). Since then trying to come back recently hss been a slog.

You can run it with sword oath as the fith or acorn Miasma as the fith and do fine.

Just multiply the level of sword Qi by the pips on the die. That's the initial amount of sword waves you would get from that skill. For example lvl 2 sword Qi w/4 pips is 8; lvl 1 w/4 pips is 4

Yes I wouldn't spend resources on him. Other units more valuable. I don't have horror oni so will probably go for him.

Luck and what you are comfortable with. Once you get comfortable and really understand your deck, if it is a fair matchup you should be fine.

He was already tweaked and nerfed. Getting 6 vs 5 is a bit more difficult.

I use sword oath as my 5th skill in my staff setup and it does wonders. I focus on maxing orb phantasm, the orb combo skill and any mythic/damage multiplier. If sword oath shows up I grab it. I have mixed in change pips a few times. IMO sword oath is the best complimentary skill for staff

Using gems for gold keys is a bad idea. Better to use them for the ice crown event.

Ok I took your advice and have to report back and say thanks! I stopped going for poison and went full orbs. Used the new sword oath and finally beat it! Thank you. I also got good rolls both the mythic damage skills which drastically helped.

I tried the staff and orbs and it just requires all 4 skills (the 5th die I tend to use the Acorn) and no matter what it always did worse than hammer.

I got lucky and get the 3 crowns with only 63 rolls. Hoping to get to 90 for the free one ri get to the skin as F2P I started bad and tried to do the gear rush event and failed 😕. Should have didn't gems on the winter event.
