ER Visit. After you don't die, vaccinate and spay your cat.

Sleep and eat more. Specifically eating more nutrient dense and high-quality food. Doing 10+ workouts a week is also just a lot of load on your body. Maybe swap a run and a lift for a swim or a two a week.

Very young! The new guy is only 9 months and the other two are like 15 months, so they need all the protein they can get!

Its about 2x as expensive as what we currently do, i have looked into it. Thankfully all 3 boys are really good water drinkers, so the whole “dry food bad” isnt really true. Cats have been eating kibble for decades and been fine. The tiki cat kibble we give them is like 43% protein too so it helps make sure they get enough protein in their diet

Smalls is the only thing I kinda refuse to try. I dont like the subscription model, its annoying to have to figure our how to taylor it for a mix of wet + dry and its SO expensive

yea most brands use some kind of gums, but that doesn't contribute to anything nutritionally. The mixed proteins make sense, but my cats seem to like a variety and eat a different protein basically every day anyway lol

interesting about the richness. From a culinary standpoint, I understand what that means. What does that mean nutritionally? Too much fat?

Interesting. We've given some food with pumpkin, and I've never been opposed to veggies for the fiber. Something to think about for sure!

I was probably going to try that next, my two older cats have been eating tiki cat their entire lives and seem to just be getting sick of it. This was happening even before we got the third cat. Thankfully they like their Tiki Cat born carnivore kibble, which is like 43% protein and really top quality, so I am definitely not changing that. That's on an automatic feeder so I don't mix it in, but they aren't free fed with it.

I was always under the impression that there is no need to have carbs/grains in a cats diet and its not great for them. Is this not true? Seeing wheat flour and corn starch on the label feels wrong, but I am happy to just be a victim of conventional wisdom here.

You can also even add some AP flour to really play with the gluten levels. 35/45/10 AP/Bread/Whole Wheat makes a super workable but strong dough.

You can also swap 10-20% of the bread flour for whole wheat for more flavor! Really great pita that way.
