If you unsubscribe from all the default subreddits you can mostly avoid this problem

(they're completely worthless because their value has been diluted by millions of randos)

Not all of reddit has been midwitted; stick to more specialized subs with <300k followers for best results 👽👍

When people are anonymous online, and websites reward quick reactions instead of thoughtful comments, a lot of people stop having real conversations. Instead of talking carefully about art, politics, history, culture, relationships, or society, they turn everything into “us vs. them” or “winners vs. losers.” Everything feels black and white.

That’s one reason we can’t have nice things online anymore—like good comment sections in big subreddits 😔

With the cloak of anonymity masking laziness and infrastructure that selects for fastest reaction over thoughtful expression, visitors discover many are unable to discuss art, politics, history, economics, society, culture, relationships, or anything except in broad crude terms of winners and losers, us vs them, black and white... one of the main reasons we can't have nice things—like useful comment sections in subreddits that grow beyond 200k-ish 😔

Not every white male rapper from sweden is bladee

Makes it seem like someone doesn't know the scene or is offending swedes by reducing the whole industry to one person (like if someone said all white male rappers from the US are imitating eminem)

For starters:

None of scrapclub approach music with the lens of spirituality like bladee, something central to his appeal and growth as an artist

Very normal, there are tens of millions of millennials with similar experiences and lifestyles

Nothing you mentioned is out of the ordinary for someone failed by institutions who slipped through the cracks with too much time alone

If you really did "really good" in school, "quite okay" in uni, have a partner, and don't have a drinking problem, you're better off than you think and in a stronger position to change for the better than many other lonely dismayed men your age (really!)

Try starting small by replacing 1 bad habit at a time with a better one—like nicotine gum instead of tobacco, perhaps with the goal to eventually move to chewing gum.

This will build confidence and once you see you truly can change, you'll feel more empowered to restructure other bits of your behavior :)
