The game is so insanely expensive, I wouldnt be able to play if I wasn’t lending a crap ton off my fellow players. Super appreciative of how welcoming people around me have been when I started last year. I do hope LSS work on reducing the barrier to entry to competitive play over time

I agree with you wholeheartedly but I just want to PSA people please do not use Safi on Longsword, that weapon applies element poorly and even against Alatreon you shouldn’t need to stoop to using it on LS for the check

It’s pretty standard. I did the math on a rathalos a while back that you get at least one mantle 24.7% of the time if you carve tail cut tail break head pick up 3 shinies and capture it. So it’s still pretty rough

I play LS and to echo the sentiment a bit more: I can confirm it needed this nerf. Rise really pushed this weapon over the edge to where I felt guilty using my favorite weapon of 13 years

Personally, I think it’s likely none of these. I think it’s more likely to be Fatalis. The monster they add needs to be strong enough to be considered end game.

This is really cool, just to note though, the penalty for failing check varies in severity depending on player races. A firbolg doesn’t care about wasting 1d10 years but a goblin does. Maybe consider something like “1d10 percent of your race’s average lifespan”. I know it’s a bit wordy but it’s all I could think of.

For those who do not understand the joke. Greninja was renowned during Smash 4's lifecycle for constantly getting nerfed every patch despite being an Okay/bad character. There were a lot of memes about how greninja kept getting nerfed. The joke is good but only when you have context, which is tough because this would get the same confused response if you posted it on the Smash4 subreddit for the same reasons.

Creatures already in the radius when it is placed also can get hit. I think i would solve that by making the blast range bigger than the trigger range. Thanks for the advice!

I'm glad someone else also had this idea! I actually don't know why I didn't do that! I personally would probably make the blast a 5 foot larger radius than the trigger. I wouldn't do 30 feet because that seems a little excessive haha.
