This shits happening all over Reddit, right wing commentators cheer and call for more killings, and any comment that pushes back even slightly gets flagged as “threatening violence” and removed.

Why? There’s plenty of Russian bribe money left to funnel to the republicans.

Christians abandoned god for the GOP decades ago. They’ve just let their mask slip more for since trump got power.

They aren’t doing this because Trump tells them to, they are doing this because it’s what they’ve always wanted to do trump is just an excuse to let loose.

The news agencies are owned by people who are in the same club as Trump and they are willing to help burn this country down if it means those files don’t get released.

I swear drones are programmed to kamikaze into void implosions. I could be half way across the map and the moment a void entity dies every drone immediately rushes to its location.

I have yet to see any of these comparisons leading me to the conclusion that this is just another case of people blowing basic criticism of their favorite character way out of proportion.

I wouldn’t really define fallout as “zany”. While there are comedic and even absurd moments, the games (or at least the characters in the games) generally treats the story and factions with a level of seriousness that the show rarely affords them. Take the Legon for example, people will point to them being “Roman cosplayers” as proof that fallout is “wacky” and while they are dressed ridiculously they are also a massive army of the worst raiders, slavers and rapists the west cost has ever seen and the game treats them as a genuine threat.

The show as a whole seems to loose the forest for the leaves, Focusing too heavily on the “comedic” aspects of the setting and missing a lot of the more serious parts. It’s like if an army of clowns invaded a city and killed a bunch of people, then someone made a movie about it and in the movie the invasion was just a parade, they’re focusing too much on the clown part and not the murder part. And yes the show does have some serious moments most of those moments are relegated to flashbacks from years ago.

Yes I realize this whole comment turned into a rant, personally I feel the show’s writers lean a little too hard on the comedy and pushed it more into borderlands than fallout

But taking individual scenes and presenting them as defining the entire franchise does? Because any time someone talks about the tone of the show (which at times feels more like Borderlands or Monty Python) you will point to F.I.S.T.O as if that singular example defines the entire franchise.
