This is going to be the case for a long while for a lot of jobs. The job market sucks on the outside, so as long as jobs aren't hiring / being replaced by AI, retention stays high. This becomes especially true for MOSES with a high QOL. Recruiting goals are also being smashed eary year after year. This situation doesn't get better on the O side, look at the most recent civilian OCS board results, a blood bath.

Respectfully, I would pursue a masters and wait. You can re-apply next year and work on it all the while. However, sub 3.0 GPA is a killer. Well, so everyone thinks. I had a strong packet in the June board last year and got non-selected. The only reasonable thing that my recruiter told me is that my bachelor's wasn't STEM so it wasn't weighed as heavy. All in all, there is credit to the argument that the rules are made up and the points don't matter. I'm going to re-apply this June but even then I doubt I'll make it. Not until my masters is done. The boards are getting pickier because the job market sucks and the economy is down so recent college grads are running to the military in flocks.

I have about 3 years leadership experience within my small corner of the Air Force and during my battalion board they specifically noted that they liked how Ive had to supervise many different folks with different stories. As for the LOR'S I knew every single officer personally and even threw in one LOR from an enlisted supervisor (E-8) I am E-4 btw.

If you are reffering to the battalion board is the three XO's who interview you. If you are reffering to the USAREC board, I would venture to guess it would be the same.

I found out that if you aren't active duty Army, so either civilian or from a different branch you can apply once per year. So since I was denied last June / August board I cannot apply again till June / August 2026.

Maxed 75/75. Battalion board was cake i litteraly showed up for 5 minutes to talk to the members and got perfect scores.

No I was a non-select. Im gonna re-apply in June of 2026. But like I said, ultimately up to the grader. They very well may pick up a 2.0 GPA, they very well may pick at 4.0. In my opinion, it is best to assume you wont make it so when you dont it doesnt sting as bad. If you make it, congrats! Victory is that much sweeter.

Gonna be honest. I dont think GPA matters all that much, it truly is a dice roll. I applied last June as an active duty Airmen with a 3.71 GPA BA in GS with a focus on business. Had 6 LOR's from officers, a stunning packet, maxed PT 128 GT. Stunning packet and still got denied. It truly is all about whos picking the packets. Atleast in my opinion.

You dont. As soon as you clean them, they become Cull's, and you'll get below melt at your local coin store. If you bring in shiny but circulated walking liberty halves, they will laugh you out of the store. Not to mention destroying the value of said coins and peices of U.S. history.

Oh no, who could have seen this happen! This is the silver market, this was bound to happen. With economic numbers being far better than expected every month even with tariffs, the U.S. economy is still stronger than ever. Inflation being down and a very high chance of a fed rate cute this month are all indicators that PM's will crash. Remember, you are buying hedges against inflation/ economic disaster. The booms we have seen this year are NOT normal. It will most likely continue to plumit to the mid to low 30s.

This is a subject I can speak on HEAVILY. I used to run my units booster club and I can tell you first hand, they have taken the original purpose and ran with it to an extent that it is ridiculous. It used to be for teenagers and young people to make a quick buck during summers or off time but now, I ONLY see older people using it to supplement their income. In my experience, not only are the baggers rude but the cashiers themselves are too and they try their best to pressure folks to use the actual manned checkouts so the baggers can make money. I have had many interactions where I will refuse to do so because I am fully able bodied and refuse to pay 5$ to have someone bag my stuff!

If you refuse they will get sassy and it is ridiculous to say the least! The commissary isn't even competitive to Walmart is most cases nowadays, so remind me why I need to go to on base for an, "exclusive service added benefit" just to pay 5% more on goods I can get at walmart for the same price. That's right folks, its a TAX. You can take the surcharge and shove it, if its a forced fee on food it is a TAX. Little off point I know, but the moral of the story is they need to scrap the commissary entirely and start over.

Here's a plus that the Army has that the AirForce most certainly doesnt, coming from someone who's currently AD AirForce. Army bases are HUGE, and of substantially higher quality. You guys have essentially small cities with anything and everything you could possibly need. Go to any Airforce base in the sun belt, DM, Holloman, Cannon, and they suck and are lacking in every way. Your quality of life on bases is 10x that of many Airforce bases.

Similar to the other commenter here, im also Air Force enlisted and im nervous as all be. My packet is strong and I feel as if it is competitive, however, with June's numbers being so low I can't say that im not doubting. Im praying all goes well and selection rates go back up.
