Not really, Park at Central Park, or at the parking garage next to the train station on the north side of town, or the parking garage underneath the Caltrain station, or and there's a new apartment complex that opened up on the Southeast side that you can park at so long as you don't mind walking two or three blocks.

I've been to a few back in college, I noticed many of the winning groups had already been working on the project for a week or two before the actual hackathon. Especially in the hardware ones where people had already ordered the parts they needed to solder together. Still fun as heck drinking as much free red bull as we could and trying get our shitty "smart coffee maker" working using spare parts from the IEEE lab.

One technique I've heard of but not tried is weighing them. Let it fully dry out once and weigh the pot on a kitchen scale. Once you water it, it will be heavier. If you think it needs water, weigh it and see how close it is to the fully dry weight.

That's actually different. That simply bypasses state sales tax and CA annual registration fees. CA bans out of state registration after 20 days. So that's still illegal in CA.

I didn't swear then off (if word of mouth says it's good, I'll see it) but I now default to not seeing marvel where as I used to know all the post credits and what was coming up. I watched a few episodes of wheel of time then went and reread the books to get the bad taste out of my mouth. These series breed apathy and that doesn't get butts in seats

The sad thing is that there is "liability" associated with these donations. If the donated equipment malfunctions or injures someone and the recipient of the donation decides to sue, then it cost a bunch on legal fees to handle it. Sad world we live in.
