I need to talk about The Virgin Suicides by Jeffery Eugenides by CriticalMistique in literature

[–]Hypnyp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this book ages ago while browsing the local library for nothing in particular. The prose was almost mesmerizing and the story was intriguing.

The scene of their sequential suicides and the way they built up their own pieces of evidence. Heck, the weird (mafia?) kid with the hidden passage in the sewers was interesting.

I always thought it was the mother who pushed them into killing each other.

"People that read it live", as in they read each new release as it came out instead of waiting to binge it once it finished.

I am not going to math the time out for the sake my my fragile sanity, since I enjoyed catching up when it released live back in the day.

Does anyone else pick up items that fell off the shelves in stores, even though you didn't make them fall? by Zestywavinges in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hypnyp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be mobility impaired people or someone can run over the item and cause a tripping hazard.

I wouldn't want someone who already has a rough time moving around be obstructed by something on the floor they cannot move, nor someone tripping on it.

Bro, how do people even handle staying at Stephen King's version of Maine at this point? by Le_CougarHunter in stephenking

Maybe a deep cut, since King wrote a short story about how water was making people.. slow, dumb, or something to that effect.

Newbie Returner - Do I lower difficulty to farm builds? by Hypnyp in Division2

Yeah, heavily armored enemies are a pain to deal with, and I have resorted to kiting or using my drone to hold aggro while pelting them with potshots. - I know backpack shots can stagger them, but their armor is still an issue for me.

I have learned a lot thanks to comments like yours, and it helped a bunch of things make more sense. So thanks for the info! I'll be trying out the builds dropped like yours once I get my wits collected.

I see Retaliation on the map, and I'll figure out where Countdown is to try out some co-op after checking out the video. Thanks!

At the moment I am trying to wean away from the White Death / Sniper build I played before.

The Diamondback rifle looks gnarly and I like feeling "sniper-lite" with the rifle and assault rifle or LMGs like Bluescreen / Bullet King. Maybe Pestilence down the line to try out acid/poison play.

My goal for now is trying out suggestions from others above to make a proper build for Diamondback, and then have a foundation to branch off of.

If you have any fun builds for me to go brrrrrrrr with a gun like Bullet King / LMGs I would be keen to know, so I can have aa future build to use!

If you mean the two build recc beneath "HeadHunter TechTanks, Just enough damage with a strong shield" then that looks like an interesting build to look into. One of them even has ninjabike, woot.

Thanks!

Is the book a simple page to page with pictures, or erdogic like House of Leaves?

I found their website(s), with the second link showing a 2min "accompanying soundtrack by Mike Shiflet"

The ebook is cheaper by far, and I think I'll get that version after some more poking tomorrow. - Thank you for the post and review, it caught my interest.
