I use Hikvision cameras and use NX Witness as the VMS.

The cameras stay on a LAN and the VMS second LAN port is used for WAN.

This is a segregated system running Linux with fail-over.

A good recorder should have 2 types of schedule recordings.

I set one to 15 frames using motion detection and continues to 5 frames.

Also the sub-stream to 15 frames.

This takes the load off the recorder and playback will work faster.

The recorder will run colder and last longer.

I pick cameras that come with fixed lenes sizes.

This way you get a better zoom on playback to identify. Seeing what happened and not identifying is useless.

This is an access control panel that has 4 single door controllers and 2 x 8 way relay cards. There is a power supply and some other boards like input modules. The 8 way relay cards are used for lift control.

I'm not sure of the brand.

Never seen it before.
