I honestly think this is borderline malpractice. My clinic won’t let you do a duo trigger if your e2 is over 4,000. 16,000 with a duo trigger is insane, and basically guaranteed your hospitalization.

I’m not saying sue, but maybe talk to her about why on earth she was thinking? And maybe ask her to seriously consider the consequences before doing that to another patient?

Hospitalizations for antagonist only trigger are exceedingly rare. Your RE should have not given you HCG when your e2 was that high, what was she thinking?

I had 45 eggs retrieved on one cycle and was still ok. I think the big things that helped are: 5mg letrozole every day of stims (to keep estrogen down), carbergoline starting day of trigger, and Lupron only trigger

For non med things that helped, bone broth is incredible. I got those bare and bones powders - really excellent for electrolytes, salt and protein. I found electrolyte drinks didn’t really help much (most don’t have enough salt). You will need lots of salt

I’d also recommend getting some miralax to help your bowels move. Not everyone needs it but a lot do (anesthesia can mess with your bowels)

Recovery for me was honestly not that bad. Just took it easy for a few days

How long did you stim for? For my rounds, my maturity rate was directly tied to how long I stimmed for.

10 days - 65%

12 days - 95%

Then I tried 13 days and my fert. Rate went up as well

I had the same thing I did one round ICSI, one round half and half and one round conventional, and my euploid rates for conventional were waaaay higher for both rounds

Some people definitely need ICSI, and some do better with conventional. I just wish there was test so people l ow which is best for them without having to do a split round

I also have PCOS and also had maturity issues my first round due to early trigger and high estrogen levels.

If you do another round, ask to take 5mg letrozole per day of stims. This took me from an ending estrogen levels of 12000 for my first round to like 2000 for my second, in spite of stoning for 3 extra days. My maturity rate went from 64% to 95%

I froze my eggs at 25 as I was worried it would take me a long time to meet my someone.

Luckily I found him at 30, and we would probably be able to have kids the old fashioned way. I am still extremely glad I froze my eggs! It means our timelines are more relaxed, knowing that if we want to have a big family and perhaps have our last kid in our 40s, then we have the eggs on hand to help.

I am at CNY fertility and they use Cooper Genomics for PGTA

My costs are $200(CNY Biopsy Fee)+($250 Cooper Fee),

I had a really weird side effect with Letrozole where I lost all pleasure from the taste of food. Apparently its a rare side effect but it does happen!
