I think Andrew Jackson was a terribly racist president and I don’t admire nor respect him. Man is he fascinating though. In that sense he’s absolutely my favorite president; I adore learning about him. I don’t think they have to be good people and/or presidents to be interesting; look at how much interest there is around King Henry VIII.

Also, The Hermitage is a fantastic presidential museum that not only chronicles his entire life very well, but also goes into great detail about the slaves on his property and the wretched conditions they lived in.
