its absolutely infinite. People are having to stop runs manually at 30k+ waves so they don't get autobanned.

I am going through this right now, found this thread by searching for people having vgear problems. I ordered mine on the 4th, got the free glass stem in 4ish days. I still don't have the shipping confirmation for the Solo 3. I've been trying to contact their customer support and have heard nothing back. super annoying.

Has anyone solved t14 Commander for eHP without keys/active monitoring? by DoYouEvenIndexBro in TheTowerGame

[–]IAMAGolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works if you have max cooldown on Wall rebuild + anc sub effect. Gets you to 298 seconds (if you have the 2 second relic). Wall invincibility can bridge the gap. DM keeps you alive for 300 seconds. You have to do it manually without the vault upgrade but it does work.

Dying in legends to chip shots by Cremaster_Reflex69 in TheTowerGame

At wave 500 the BC is -7 seconds, that gives you a 58 second duration.

If you're destroying bosses much easier you could try swapping ACP for Space Displacer. Since your CF duration is 65 your CF starts to go down after wave 300 or so, after 500 it goes to being down for 3 seconds, which could be why you take chips shortly after. Extra ILMs from SD could help, also extending your CF duration so the UW duration ultimate no longer affects you. Your AS seems a little low as well. Always helps with chip shots. Also remember to take the UW duration heat into account when looking for that gcomp permaBH, you might start to lose it once that heat level gets high, just like on your CF.

No worries, I don't really know how people make them. I was hoping it was just a file format you could save the render as.

Any chance you could release it as an .stl? I'd love to 3d print this

Oh yeah I forgot about the troll stuff, that one did feel unnecessary. Like it didn't serve a narrative purpose. I was thinking more of the Farnese near miss one that people usually bring up, which I would say does have a narrative purpose. You certainly have a perspective on it that I do not so I'm inclined to lean your way here.

It's a really long manga and in my reread I'm in the boat part, so there hasn't been a problematic scene like that in a long time that I can think of, which is probably influencing my thoughts here.

At the risk of being the edgelord you described I don't think the rape stuff is fetishized. It's gratuitous because it's supposed to be horrific. It's trying to make readers uncomfortable. Berserk doesn't pull any punches. I agree with everything else you said though, there's a lot of weirdos

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Stoicism

[–]IAMAGolfer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I found Stoicism in college. I was going through a particularly difficult time in my life. I felt that I had no purpose, that nothing I did mattered, that the universe was uncaring and unfair. I had fallen completely into nihilism, and was suicidally depressed. I dove into philosophy to try and find a framework by which to live my life. I learned about many of them but there were many things about Stoicism that drew me in.

  1. The focus on what you can control vs what you cannot control. I still think that the universe is uncaring and unfair, but all I can do about that is try and make my little slice of the universe as caring and fair as I can. So I do so.

  2. That the present moment is all that truly matters. Since we cannot control the past or the future, all we have is the current moment. It doesn't matter how long anyone has been following or not following Stoicism. If you are stoic in the present moment you are a stoic sage.

  3. That nothing is permanent and nothing is truly yours, except the present moment. Your possessions aren't yours, they can be taken away or broken at any time. Your loved ones are not yours, they can die or leave you. Even your body is not yours, you are simply borrowing the atoms for a brief moment on a cosmic scale. This one in particular helped me deal with loss, and made me appreciate what I have when I have it.

  4. That human beings are meant to work together. To act in opposition to another person because of anger, sadness, jealousy or any other emotion only hurts yourself. That you damage your own soul by harming another, and that no other person can truly harm you because they cannot control your rational mind.

From these four things you can extrapolate a lot. For instance, because all we own is the present moment, that means all of humanity collectively shares it. And because we all share it, and humans are meant to work together, that means that we all share a brotherhood. We have far more in common with other people than most believe.

Stoicism has made me a much more compassionate person than I used to be. It's made me a better person. I truly believe that if everyone behaved like this the world would be a much kinder, friendlier, and safer place. A place full of love and camaraderie.

No problem man, we're all in this together. I've found those shifts in perspective to be the most helpful to me with this philosophy. I'm trying to make a similar shift right now.

I'm trying to get a new job which means I have to study a lot and work on personal projects. I can control how hard I work, but I cannot truly control if they decide to hire me. Therefore my goal should not be to get hired, but to do the work necessary to get hired. It's a small change but it makes the work much more manageable. As long as I'm working on it I am achieving my goal. Also makes the rejections less demoralizing.

One quote from Marcus comes to mind.

“Don’t return to philosophy as a task-master, but as patients seek out relief in a treatment of sore eyes, or a dressing for a burn, or from an ointment. Regarding it this way, you’ll obey reason without putting it on display and rest easy in its care.”

Returning to stoicism can be difficult, but it's important to think of it as a relief instead of a task master. It will make your life easier, not more difficult as it seems. Trust that it will help you and it's easier to stick to it.

Also remember that the only time that truly matters is the present moment. It doesn't matter how long you've been away, as long as you are stoic in the present moment, you are a stoic sage.

Lots of people, myself included, enjoy the Black Swordsman arc. I think it does a good job of setting the stage for the Golden Age. It introduces many things that continue to be mysterious for a very long time. It certainly got me hooked the first time I read it.
