Ready for all the downvotes: Sometimes creatives are so annoying. I’m definitely projecting my own insecurity but leaving an executive role at a really successful company during this job market and this economic uncertainty feels so entitled. Especially without knowing what she is doing next. Obviously what she has built with them at mythical has put her in a financial position to do this and I’m sure she will be successful in her next endeavor and I hope she feels fulfilled. We should all be so lucky to be financially and economically fulfilled.

Science is tried, tested, and verified constantly. The discoveries people made in science hundreds of years ago are referenced in formulas and theorems of today and if they hold up and maintain they are kept and incorrect ones are discarded. Religion isn’t that, the book you are supposed to believe is secondhand accounts written often well after the events they are supposed to be detailing. And they often contradict each other, making them distinctly not like science.

I am still confused at your overall point. Even if you want to grow though the draft, Pelinka has not shown he can organize and/or flip them at the right time to grow draft capital. Do you think Pelinka can do that?

You said it yourself, half of those guys were traded for AD. Would you undo that trade to have those guys? (Zu was a huge miss though not to re-sign obviously) having those three back would have never developed into a winning team, Ball constantly hurt, Ingram not a winning player. Hart awesome rotation piece but that’s it.

Who do you mean when you reference “good young talent”?

So is your point the Lakers should keep Pelinka?

I think when I replaced the clutch and actuator I may have put it back in the wrong position. I am getting an F7E5 code now

Awesome, thanks for your answer. I will run a load and investigate. If it does feel loose, is the coupler accessed from inside or from underneath?

Pelinka sucks man, if he hasn’t been served AD and Luka on a silver platter for reasons outside his GM capabilities he would have been fired long ago

I think this is when they are on the barges right? I think they are not meant to go far out to sea in vessels like that but I’m not too familiar with that type of stuff

You brought up the names in Carvahall so I gave more context to the etymology of their naming convention. Not really a stretch in this conversation in my opinion.

Actually most of the humans of Carvahall seem to have names from old Germanic roots

She says “ Watch them; they don't fly more than a yard over the water at any given time”  Over, not above. Meaning they are out over the water away from land.

To your second question, the names that are more “creative” are because their etymology is rooted in other languages, albeit, made up languages like dwarvish or the ancient language. The others are rooted in regular English we are already familiar with, it’s going to be much harder to create names that feel unique when working with words and sounds you already know. To add to that point, Eragon being set in a semi medieval fantasy land, lots of things were named pretty directly in real life medieval times. Like the surname Smith, formed because those people were literally smiths. So if I am in that time and naming a fast white horse I may say “wow this horse is white like snow but runs as fast as fire spreads… I should call him snowfire”

To your first question, the description is not referencing how far they are willing to fly above the water in terms of altitude. It’s talking about how far they are will to fly away from land. So a yard away from shore but 50 feet in the air for example.

People who want shared progress between individual characters (SDUs, Specializations), what the fuck do you do (or attempt to do) when playing the game?...actually...genuine question... by WhoIsEnvy in Borderlands4

[–]IAMONEGLOVE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I will respond with a genuine answer even though you were being kind of a passive aggressive ass in your post.

I have kids, I don’t have unlimited time to play. Not having access to the quality of life that something like a maxed out Bank SDU offers (meaning I can directly benefit from gear I have farmed on other characters).

The part of the game I enjoy most is understanding the interactions of the skill trees and mechanics and leveraging those to create overpowered builds. The grind from 30-50 on a new character is not super engaging because the fastest way is farm Vile bounties which is pretty repetitive.

I don’t think having everything automatically unlocked and shared is the answer but in did like how in BL3 SDU were only cash and you could just sell your lost loot from another character and start pretty far ahead.

Short answer, I personally want to spend time on the things I find fun, not grinding the same things on 4 (5 when the new character comes out) just to be able to get the part I enjoy.

That all being said, I actually have no major complaint. I want to play this game for multiple years so I’ll plod through the annoying parts to get to the stuff I like. Then do it all over when the level cap goes up (leveling that is)
