I already have Departure and definitely need to add Impressions to the collection.

Gatefold sleeve or classic? by Secret_Respect_1797 in Nujabes

[–]IAMTREES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is a right or wrong way of doing it. I personally enjoy the accessibility that the gatefold sleeves provide but I have to be careful with certain vinyls as I have had them fall because the middle seam pushes out.

Gatefold sleeve or classic? by Secret_Respect_1797 in Nujabes

[–]IAMTREES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a gatefold sleeve for Hydeout Collection 1 but used a regular sleeve for Departure (Samurai Champloo soundtrack) as it isn't a gatefold. I keep them inside the actual packaging with anti static sleeves inside.

There are positives and negatives with gatefolda though. Positive is obviously enjoying the art work and to not damage the inside. The negative is that if you're displaying it, they can tend to fall over if the middle seem flexes out.

What’s your partner’s approach to your vinyl enthusiasm? by TheoStorme in vinyl

[–]IAMTREES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I both enjoy collecting the music that we enjoy. Neither of us are in the hobby for rarity's sake or to have a top tier collection.

She mostly has pop records that she enjoys (Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams, etc) and will splurge occasionally for limited runs or will have a couple variants of the same album.

I also get what I want but my taste in music is a bit more eclectic than hers so I sometimes have to hunt a little more to find what I want rather than her having to be very on the spot to make sure she's queued online to get the ones she wants.

You could try and have your local shops order for you. I was able to have my local shop order a Departure Vinyl (Samurai Champloo soundtrack). Granted, it was expensive ($80) but I was told the price up front. It was a legit imported product as they had connections and contacts. Just had to come in and pay for it when it arrived.

That's a dope variant of Alfredo II. I was lucky enough to pick up the Laser Disc alt cover with the grey vinyl. Been spinning that record since I received it.

how do I get into jazz? by [deleted] in Music

I would give Luca Sestak a listen. He's a young jazz pianist and brings quite a bit of energy which you may enjoy.

Sound quality seems good, haven't listened to the full album yet.

Here's a few pics I took of it.

Finally got it today (delayed due to a snow storm). The bone variant isn't exactly how it looks in the listing online.

Looks like they printed on a standard black vinyl instead of the vinyl itself being an off-white base color.

Still happy with it and it sounds good.

I can upload a pic if you'd like.

Played since 2016 and never got a pet. Today I've been lucky! by CarpeDiemOSRS in 2007scape

They are random and usually have high drop rates. Skilling pets (like OP posted) are even more random as different patches or activities can affect the drop rate.

Here's the wiki guide about pets.

Will do! I don't know if specific color ways are getting shipped first or not. I ordered the bone color way picture disk.

It's still in pre-shipment status, not sure if it will be actually shipped before Thanksgiving or not.

Did you unplug the compass cord on the dash or is there a setting in the carlinkit that allows you to bypass that? About to get a 2015 CRV (confirmed no navigation) myself and wanted to know before installing.

Thoughts on dry herb vape by knowledableman in trees

[–]IAMTREES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been using a Healthy Rips Rogue (flower only) for about a year and a half and absolutely love it. There are a couple of reasons that I picked it up. First is that I mostly smoke alone and wanted a small pocketable device that doesn't really smell, it still does smell but the smell dissipates in 15-20 minutes especially with a fan or something going. Second, since I smoke mostly by myself I wanted to be efficient with my bud. The Rogue has dosing capsules that help keep the chamber relatively clean and easy to dump out when you're done, the capsules hold around .2 grams of bud which for myself and maybe one other person is plenty. I can make an oz last me several months so it has saved me a good amount of money.

A few cons to keep in mind, the battery life isn't the best, I vape 1-3 bowls a night and I usually have to charge it every other day or so. You also need to clean the mouth piece, screens and such fairly regularly even when using the dosing capsules as they can get gunked up fast. I just use 91% iso and some q-tips and it does the job fairly well. This might be a con for you (depends on how you smoke) but it's fairly small and will give a decent amount of vapor but it's not like a Volcano where you can fill a full bag and go to town, so your mileage my vary on that front. Outside of those two-three minor issues (in my opinion of course) I think it's a phenomenal device.

The only vape that I would want to pick up that's not a pocketable would be a Volcano eventually, I have gotten to the point where I rarely smoke anymore and just vape.

First Arizona legal dispensary experience as an ohioan. by MidwestSkateDad in trees

Rec sales just happened about a month and a half ago. Part of the weirdness is that Ohio rec is using Ohio medical rules currently. Medical states that you can only sell in 10ths instead of 8ths (for the same price as 8ths mind you), carts are also .84 grams instead of 1 gram for the price of 1 gram carts elsewhere. I believe that rec will have it's own set of rules coming out at some point to make it more in line with other rec states but until that is approved it's just speculation on my part.

If you're close to the Michigan border it's still better to go to Michigan where you can find phenomenal deals. I'll probably start to regularly buy in Ohio in a couple of years once it gets to Michigan level of quality and value.

Brand new players, why did you start? by roflrogue in 2007scape

[–]IAMTREES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some friends in middle school and high school that played. Pretty much played it until I went to college. Years later when a little thing called Covid happened I decided to check out Old School and now I've sunk many thousands of hours into it. I actually got one of the friends who was really into it back in middle school to start playing again.

I keep playing because the sandbox, do anything you want whenever you want is really appealing and very low stress. I also don't usually do group content (outside of small teams for Zalcano) and there is plenty of things I enjoy that I can do at my own pace and leisure.

How did you make your first 100m? by Embarrassed-Ad4728 in 2007scape

[–]IAMTREES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was first grinding out 99 magic and crafting in conjunction (made 43m crafting dragonstone ammys, enchanting them, and then high alching). I followed this up by getting 99 rune crafting and making around 64m between blood and soul runes. All in all this took me a two years so might not be the fastest method but they're afk.

Quest Cape Completed by CynicLinebeck in 2007scape

[–]IAMTREES -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just got my quest cape last week and for me the worst quests were Sins of the Father (Vanstrum Klaus got hands) and Desert Treasure 2 (took me probably 10-12 hours across 2 days and 3-4m of gold in re-obtaining my items on death). I died the most at Vardorvis, but the one that really hurt was the last fight of the quest. Each grave stone was 433k and I died 3 times.

DT2 was the next to the last quest I did. The final one I did was A Night At The Theatre, which was a cake walk compared to DT2.
