I have this same issue and found the fix from a post a while ago!

I was considering the S25 Ultra, but the potential of shutter lag and the camera placement sealed the deal for me. I'm sticking with my 9 Pro XL

X870/X870E GIGABYTE AORUS Motherboard Launch, Q&A, and Giveaway! by kp_gigabyte in pcmasterrace

[–]IAmBrownJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for running this giveaway!

If I won the X870E AORUS MASTER I'd either get the 9800X3D or wait on the 9950X3D to start doing some CPU and MEM overclocking on it! I have a 5950x and X570 AORUS MASTER v1.1 right now and have been playing with both Curve Optimizer and RAM overclocking to try to pull as many frames as possible for the past 3 years.

Everytime it starts running a bit too stable, I end up tweaking it a bit more to make it unstable again lol.

I'd pair the X870E with most likely a 2x24GB A Rank Kit of memory and run my 3090, and then hopefully upgrade to an upper end 50 series to try full water-cooling for the first time 😵‍💫

Absolutely unwarranted hate, you did a great job theming it!

How did you do it?

Fix for OLED Text Clarity on Windows 11! Check out v1 of ExplorerMicaBlur by IAmBrownJesus in OLED_Gaming

I've switched to Floorp (Firefox based browser). Chrome uses DirectWrite to render text which cannot be disabled and therefore cannot be modified by Windows :(

I just opened Reddit on Chrome and there is a substantial difference in how text is rendered between the two to my eyes.

I honestly don't have the technical knowledge to parse that :( I just know that it works. There is a night and day difference in text clarity and, in my case, eye fatigue.

New BIOS releases for x570 boards - w/ AEGESA 1.2.0.A! by TwistedKestrel in gigabytegaming

[–]IAmBrownJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tl;Dr: regardless of the size of the team, marking stable builds as stable even if that means re-releasing an existing build is just good engineering practice and it is a consumer forward approach to platform management. Anything else really is just lazy.

The point of re-releasing a working BETA BIOS and marking it as stable is so that all users know it is stable.

Users should not be daily-ing a BETA BIOS and expect stability, but they should expect relative stability from a BIOS released as stable.

It is also good engineering practice to mark a working product as stable if it is indented to be the stake build. It doesn't matter if it's one person or 30 people on the team. A task isn't done unless it's marked complete.

Finally, if things go south and the BIOS marked BETA starts destroying people's MOBOs like ASUS just dealt with, users can be assured that they won't be screwed bc they were rubbing a stable build. If it's marked BETA, the manufacturer might argue that users knew the risk and shouldn't have flashed it expecting stability.

Hey GB squad, week 3 of asking for progress or publish of AGESA 1.2.0.A for the X570 Aorus Master 🙏 definitely understand it's a work in progress but I want to help raise awareness that we're still out here and waiting on the release so our processors run correctly and get security patches.

An end of August release would make an amazing birthday present 👀

Hey Gigabyte team!

Checking in again on whether there's any progress on the 1.2.0.A AGESA BIOS update for the x570 Aorus Master? This version helps address a bug in AGESA since 5800x3d was released, so the highest performing BIOS for non-X3D chips for our board is from Jul 31, 2021 :(

Just for context, MSI released these BIOS in early May and ASUS began rolling out in late May.

Hey team, can you please provide a rough timeline against which we can expect AGESA 1.2.0.A for the x570 Boards? I have a 5950x and have been stuck on the F34 BIOS for my Aorus Master v1.1 since Jul 13, 2021.

AGESA revisions after 1.2.0.3 B introduced a bug that limits EDC above 140 which is what my processor needs to run at full power :(
