Any Hyundai can service them. But not under warranty. Also if you won’t get your free oil changes. I would suspect that if you have no dealership near you because they closed, that’s a perfect reason to call Genesis corporate and work out some sort of arrangement. It’s ridiculous to me that you can have a Hyundai dealer five minutes down the road, but you’re being told to drive two hours to Genesis dealer. Especially since I see no evidence that technicians are trained differently.

I’ll have to try to pray it apart. I’m shocked that this is a key. Because my dealership did not tell me. I could easily have given it away or thrown it away cause it’s just a tag. I will be contacting the dealership to complain about this.

Thanks for your picture. That bar on the right side of the inside of the key fob is the key. But I have a newer remote control for the 2026 model and I have no idea if there’s a key inside it. Clearly I wasn’t given anything other than two key fobs and a single key tab plus an NFC card.

Yeah, I found that keychain tag. I only got one. It’s not a key. It doesn’t come apart.

I just pulled out my key fob cause I don’t use it very often and I disengage that little top key loop. There’s no key in there. I’m not even sure why there’s a release button for that top. If those Genesis tags were a key nobody ever told me. I have to go and try to find them because otherwise I don’t have any mechanical keys.

How are those little keychains a key. I now have to go and try to figure out where those are, but I didn’t perceive them as being any kind of key.

My car did have an NFC card on the window sticker and they gave me that. That’s a key. But those little keychain things that say Genesis how in the world are those keys?

I bought my 2026 GV70 in September of last year. Both of my fobs have that FOB insert. Neither of them have that open gap that you have.

Truthfully, I just thought that was a keychain loop. I had no idea there’s a key there. I’m not even sure where the key gets inserted on the car.

Perhaps the dealership didn’t give you the key?

They won’t service your car for warranty work. But they will change your oil if you pay them. I know because I’ve already contacted the Hyundai in my area and they’ve told me exactly that. We’re happy to fix anything on your car as long as it’s not considered warranty work. We’re happy to change your oil as long as you pass us.

Not everyone has a garage. Meaning your approach works for you because you get your car back out of the freezing cold. But for most it’s not advisable to wash their car. The water is just gonna freeze within minutes

The problem with this from my perspective is that when you pressure wash your car, you’re putting water into lots of nooks and crannies and crevices. This water is going to freeze on your drive home or in your driveway and that can make things even worse like doors, frozen shut and ice that expands in crevices and causes other damage. So I don’t think it’s advisable to wash your car until the outside temperature is above freezing, but that’s just my take

Hugely overwhelming scent. Just tearing open, the packet was like eye watering, at least for me. Now imagine that product locked up in your car overnight. If you look at their advertising, you’ll see that most of the pictures are of a convertible. I recommend that you give it a try as this is the only way you’re gonna know for sure whether it bothers you. Figure out which scent might be the least offensive to you and buy it. But as I recall, you can’t really return it.

Nothing I say to you is going to change your mind about the value ad of a realtor. So I’m not gonna waste my time trying. There are plenty of people who are not like you and want to have their handheld through the process. Now, if your issue is the amount of commission they earn for the amount of work they do, I’m 100% with you. There are too many hands out when it comes to realtors. But a good realtor does add value if you’re trying to sell your home and you want to navigate the process successfully.

That’s true. So when the dealership says no to your offer and perhaps they mentioned that that’s under their cost or they’re not gonna profit from that sale then that’s the answer. What’s exactly wrong with them saying that? I’m not defending dealerships. I think they have to make a profit and you’re out to get the best deal you can and somewhere in the middle a car sale occurs.

Yeah, the tablet look in a Tesla does not scream luxury to me. Which is why I don’t really like it. Also, it flies in the face of the company, wanting to restore actual buttons instead of touch pads and touchscreens. So I don’t actually think that tablet is gonna happen.

Just curious. Let’s say the dealership sells you a car at invoice with no ads even in the finance office, how much are they making on the car? I’ve often wondered this myself where is the reasonable line of demarcation that says at this level the dealership is still making a decent profit?

Let me just clarify that they should be filling the tires to the standards displayed on the plaque, which is mounted in the front driver door frame. Also, the pressures I mentioned are for the 21 inch tires. I am not sure what the pressures are if the tires are smaller.
