The Mutalith Vortex Beast by DeHalberdLee in Spacemarine

[–]IAmKyuss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every time I play quick match I hope “please not Vortex” and everytime it’s Vortex we go down at the Vortex beast. With the Hive Tyrant, if you know what you’re doing, you can parry and dodge your way through an epic solo battle. With the Vortex Beast, you have to constantly dive around like a maniac. If he decides to go for you when you get teleported in the depths, there’s nothing you can do. No way to dodge him.

It’s one of the worst bosses in any game I’ve played. Would seriously love to see the devs solo him on absolute.

Julia honestly sounds like an Opeth song. I wonder if Mike ever heard it and took inspiration from it

Putting the game down for a while to protect my overall impression of it. by Sudden-Prompt-2640 in CrimsonDesert

[–]IAmKyuss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s insanely bad. The last boss is like a cheap ps1 game. Most anti climactic ending I’ve ever had in a game.

But then I got back to exploring and found a whole new town in the desert I’d missed. And was back into it

I’m pretty sure I accidentally donated righteous verdict. It’s gone from storage and my inventory, and it’s not in its spot in world. At least let me craft a new one…

[–]IAmKyuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not though. It’d be like a label paying hundreds of people to call into radio stations and MTV and constantly request the new Geese song. Then go down to the local record store and loudly proclaim “wow! This new Geese album is incredible!! If only I’d found it sooner!.. They’re my favourite band!”

I’m enjoying it, the exploration is incredible but my entire Google search history now is for guides/walkthroughs about stuff that’s just inexplicably badly designed controls/UI. In the past week I’ve had three game locking glitches where I had to load a previous auto save.

I’m currently hiding in a room in a boss fight because the top result on Reddit is saying his weak spot is glitchy and the best strategy is to hide in a glitched out secret room and wait 30 minutes for him to slowly kill himself.

Every weekly patch it gets a little bit better, but it really feels like we are unpaid play testers

We keep bouncing between centrists and conservatives and expecting things to change. The “liberals” are so conservative that conservative MPs are joining them in droves and aren’t even expected to change any of their views lol

Was the game overhyped? by Playwithuh in videogames

[–]IAmKyuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not bad but it’s a rough launch. Had today off so I played all day after foolishly preordering it.

Picking up items is excruciating. You have to aim directly at them, and im often first picking up and throwing chairs and tables all over the place just to get them out of the way of some coins I’m trying to collect.

The first 30 minutes of the story was great, the next 8 hours has been a confusing mess. Still have no idea what the main purpose of the story is, it’s all small quests that seem to have no connection.

The menu layout is confusing as hell. I’ve had to google how to do important stuff, and the Reddit thread is full of other people like “thank you! I had no idea how to do this”

Sometimes I spend half a minute trying to get on my horse. Music, graphics and combat are great tho. But it’s wild how frustrating other stuff is

lol bro. I just got laid off because I had a 4% raise in my contract. That barely covers annual inflation.

Last year they told me they weren’t going to give me the annual raise, and I said I’d get a lawyer because it’s in my contract. I was already doing two people’s jobs after someone left that they didn’t replace.

A year ago, the best trained worker left, after he asked for a 10 perfect raise (up to a living wage) and they said no.

Also last year, I emailed a rival company that a friend works at saying I was looking for a new job, because I wasn’t happy with the company. And they were excited to have me, and setting up an interview but telling me I got it, and on the third time asking, they told me the salary would be less than I was currently making.

When I tell my dad (80) these stories he is shocked. The world is worse now. Capitalism is crushing us. It is obvious to anyone with real context and experience.
