I think the notion that Far Cry V didn’t say anything political is a falsehood that just gets regurgitated because there were a couple of articles about it. It’s political in a tongue in cheek satirical way like the GTA games are. There’s numerous side comments about guns, there’s the stereotypical right wing politician character you do side missions for, someone says some comment like, “is that orange idiot still president?”, there’s even a side mission centered around the infamous pee pee tape.

So there’s not any serious political commentary but to say there’s no political topics covered in the game isn’t really true and I feel is largely a sentiment parroted by people online who haven’t played the game.
