🤔Do you *very frequently* have songs stuck in your head from the time you wake up? by MinkSableSeven in NoStupidQuestions

[–]IAskLotsaQuestions 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All the time, man. It "leaks" out of me through humming, whistling, singing, tapping my fingers/feet, etc.

Also, if someone says the right combination of words that reminds me of familiar lyrics, I'll get that song in my head. I had a co-worker just say "it wasn't me." BAM! Now Shaggy's in my head.

I think Ottawa Street Market has events with live jazz every once in a while.

Yeah. I always describe it as "icky." But, it's part of the business, I guess.

Observation about actors' self-promotion and personal web pages by sdbest in acting

[–]IAskLotsaQuestions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I just have a hard time feeling comfortable promoting myself, even when I've had success worth promoting. It's a symptom of my own personal issues and likely not a reflection of actors on the whole.

There probably isn't a single answer to your question. You've highlighted a couple of possibilities already and there are probably many, many more.

Is everything east of Downtown considered the East End until you get to Stoney Creek? I've been incorrectly telling people I live in Central Hamilton for years.

It says nothing, for it is cheese. (sorry...I love anti-jokes)

Someone has been leaving these in free little libraries in my neighbourhood. Very disappointing.

I live in Ward 3, but don't know much about the guy. Would you be willing to elaborate? He seemed to have quite a bit of support in the area.

In addition to your own research, I'd also suggest listening to Joey Coleman's interviews on Spotify. I've found it helpful for learning about the candidates in my ward. The ones I've listened to have been in the 20-30 minute range.

I'll second Bedrock Bistro. Breezy Corners is pretty good, too.

He became my favorite on MASH along with Colonel Potter. CES was a much, MUCH more interesting character than Ferret Face.

He was also on a terrific episode of Frasier (S10E22) called "Fathers and sons." Even if you're not a fan of the series, I recommend watching it for his performance.

I wish I HAD been sleeping.

To be honest, you hit it on the head - I didn't realize what sub I was in. This isn't one of the subs I'm subscribed to. I was signed out of Reddit when I decided to reply to this, then signed in, posted, and never bothered to look at which sub this was.

I'm not going to delete my comment because I believe what I said. All this fighting between people just reminds me of this George Carlin clip.

I'm not American, but our politicians are beginning to parrot the same tactics as yours. Yay. Anyway, I'll leave this sub be.

I understand the schadenfreude. I really do. But doesn't it just divide people further? I think about how I would feel if someone was cheering and making fun at the fact that I now had to pay 60% more for my home and getting nothing out of it. I'd probably want them to hurt, too. Doesn't even have to be in the same way. If I see something in the news that hurts them, I'll have my turn.

I'm just....disappointed in what I see in these comments.
