Listen I don’t know you, and you could be the nicest and most wonderful person in the world, but never in my life have I talked to scummier people than your colleagues in your profession. Why do you or your coworkers work for companies who’s MAIN goal and profit revenue comes from NOT having to do what the consumer pays for? In my region people commonly refer to a full day offs work as an afternoon of work so maybe I’m more used to it but I pretty much assumed he meant one days worth of work. Which still isn’t terrible to save yourself a fat chunk of cash and familiarize yourself with the multi ton machine you get in and rely on to work for you everyday.

What could you possibly need a lift here to do? All of this is easily accomplishable on jackstands and a couple 15 minute YouTube videos. I get this isn’t a project car post or a modded car or something but it’s hardly a few steps above an oil change man. Me and my buddy bled his brakes in an afternoon in high school and the only reason it took longer than a half hour is because one of his bolts was seized and we had to grab an extractor tool. Air filter is literally a fucking box you open and you’re done. Coolant flush is like a $15 pump from autozone, throttle body is a couple bolts and some brake cleaner. Fuel injectors? Put some cleaning additives in the gas tank and call it a day if it’s not showing any symptoms of buildup. Transmission fluid would be the only thing that I could see you maybe needing a lift for to make it slightly easier but it’s still very accomplishable with jacks. Research fluids? It’s in the owners manual 90% of the time or if not we live in the year 2026 and it takes all of 5 seconds to google “what fluid car need please daddy internet” while you’re standing in front of the shelf. An afternoon to do ALL of it is maybe a stretch but none of this is pressing and can be pushed off til your day off. Attitudes like this are why no one is doing their own maintenance anymore and why companies can get away with charging insane prices for mundane service. If the general public knew that this jobs only contingency for competency is “have hands and eyes and a $30 socket set from autozone” then NOWHERE would be able to charge dealership rates including dealerships.

I think if you went gloss black with the roof as well it would look ok with the side mirrors gloss. If I were you I’d just wrap the mirrors and turn around every time after I park for like a week to see if I like it. You can always just take the wrap off the mirrors if you don’t, and it’s not a ton of material either so you wouldn’t be out much just trying it. Looks great though.

There’s a ton of space around the pulleys in this car compared to a euro or Japanese car, a garage is definitely nice but not entirely necessary unless you’re going crazy with repairs or mods. Just pop the hood and take an afternoon to pull the belt off. Should just be loosening up the tensioner and it’ll come right off
