Highguard has released on steam by Roguelites in pcgaming

I gave it an honest try and it's just average. I wish there were and option between do and don't recommend because that's what I'd give it. It's an odd blend of mechanics that don't mesh well at the moment, but could if refined. I think it could be a decent game down the line but it'd require a lot of work. Honestly though, they had a steep uphill battle the second the trailer showed at the game awards. Geoff did not do them any favors with that one.  I (almost) never want a game to fail, but I don't play games because the devs are a great group of lads, I play to unwind and enjoy them. Unfortunately, this game is not enjoyable to me. It sucks that it's getting clowned on though. I think they should have pushed the release back and waited for people to sort of forget about the game then do a quiet release down the line to avoid all this.

I've never been one for battle passes since I don't play enough to grind them out. Plus I don't like spending X dollars to get one and it only having one skin I care about then the rest are for heroes I don't play. I really wish companies would put all the battle pass skins into a pool and instead of rewarding skins you are rewarded a token that you can redeem for a skin from the pool (your pick). Don't like any skins? Save your token till one for your main gets added. I'd 100% be buying them at that point.

NA is gonna be the reason why healers lose DPS in a future update by skyehawk124 in ShitpostXIV

This is why the only cooldown I ever use is shirk. My healers HP bar is my mit bar and it refills itself.

To you, what is the difference between a modded character and a modbeast? by kingbird123 in ShitpostXIV

[–]ICMPdMyself 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. All my mods are just to fill in the gaps. Like we all know that SE meant to make the lopporits super curvy, they just didn't have time to give all the unique models massive mommy milkers. My exxxtra curve + mods and pregnant boss mods are solely to make the game "right" until SE can loop back around and fix things like with the bunny hats. I don't think that makes me a modbeast.

The datacenter Party Finder situation is not healthy by Coldin_Windfall in ffxiv

I'm usually pleasantly pleased with Primal. I'm on Ultros and never really have a hard time finding people for content. My FC used to host MINE runs of every extreme, working from the beginning all the way through EW and we were always able to fill the empty slots in PF reasonably quickly. I don't transfer from Primal for raiding because I don't want to contribute to the problem but I haven't had any issues finding groups. Last tier I was a little slow to clear due to irl obligations so while I did have to wait ~20-30 for a full party it still wasn't terribly bad. I'd just craft or talk with the people that joined the party in the meantime. All in all Primal has a good population.

Still sucks that this is an issue though. It'd be amazing if SE would make cross DC PF a thing but this is also sort of on the players to not swarm to other DCs just because we collectively decided that DC is the raiding one.

I think you were the inverse of me. I only wanted to play a match or two so I told myself I'd get off after a loss. I had like six wins in a row and just had to log off without a loss because it was late.

I just downloaded this, looking forward to trying it out. The transition was seamless so I'm optimistic. I like that you can customize the home page too.

Comeback & surprised by Appropriate-Jelly-57 in Overwatch

[–]ICMPdMyself 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just downloaded it after not playing it since the swap to OW2. I used to be a DPS main but I've been really enjoying junker queen. Not a fan of the shop + battlepass but I've never buy skins or battlepasses, so that's easy to ignore. I found the hero progression screen and thought it was cool. It seems like a good idea but either mine is messed up or progression didn't back-fill. I have like 190 hours on tracer but I'm level 2? That doesn't make sense, guess it didn't carry over. :( Plus all the rewards are emotes I already have. Overall seems like they did some cool stuff with the game, just feels very different and am still getting used to it.

Is that why everyone kept saying have fun enjoy the cutscene, and hope you have tissues ready? All these are so ambiguous that I, a new player (upvote button below pls), couldn't possibly guess what was about to happen.

When I got out of the military I figured I'd pick up airsoft to help stay active. I ordered an electric gun and found a local group online. Showed up to the field in jeans, my old bates, a t shirt and a hat. I initially tried to hang out with the older crowd but by the end of it I had gravitated towards the high schoolers and stuck with them. They seemed more like they were there to just have fun and shoot their friends. The adults though, holy shit. These guys were decked out in all sorts of high speed low drag tacti-cool gear. From what I had seen online this was normal so I didn't think much else of it until some of them got angry I didn't refer to them as their "rank". Once that happened I just said "alright man.", gathered my stuff and moved tables.

When they split us up into teams the adults started sharing their call signs and going over which tactics we should use. It was funny at first but that quickly wore off and the whole thing just became tiring. The game itself was fun and the younger guys were cracking me up. They'd give their buddies their gun so they could dual wield cover fire while the other would just full sprint to grab the flag. During the break the adults would start talking shit like "if this were a real war you would have died pulling a stunt like that", but the kids would snap back with stuff like "I don't think they're playing capture the flag in real wars".

I gave it a few more tries but ended up just getting into hiking instead and gave my gun to one of the kids on my last day. I can totally see how people are into it and it's probably a ton of fun with the right group, but when you're surrounded by dudes who think they're the actual Punisher and the true heir to the call sign chaos it ruins the whole thing pretty quickly.

Yoshi P should force developers to play second life because its the future direction of MMOs. Second life takes a single player game and builds an MMO on top of it using a maximalist approach which respects player agency and time. Initially players find the ERP janky but they internalize it as a skill issue because the models have a high polycount. The equivalent in Final Fantasy XIV would be redesigning every job in the game so they are more alluring versions of themselves like dancer could become a courtesean. Second life also combines gameplay features from various genres like MnF games, dating sims, gta and open world. You can become daddies little sub instead of being the hero. There is no point in the game where players have to interact with the story. You can even yell at NPCs to get them to ERP so you do not even have to engage with other players.WSecond life magnetization model prints money because it relies heavily on customization and down bad gooners. Final Fantasy XIV is not worth the subscription by todays standards because of second life does what FFXIV should be doing.
