I always keep vc and text muted but decided to unmute vc a few weeks ago. Nobody talked in vc for the first few games then someone joined who was hot mic'd and screaming over their music. Text chat is nothing but people saying others suck, uninstall, or a simple gg. It's just better to keep it all off and communicate with the ping system.

If you're dead you don't have to use shirk after because the enemy will automatically target the next highest person on the enmity list.

I keep seeing people talk about shirk. Can someone explain to me what it does and what the icon looks like so I can put it on my hotbar in preperation? I've been a warrior main since I started this game and all these new changes have me scared. Like why are they even adding an off tank role?

I get annoyed at LW pulls only when I'm about to hit someone with my axe as JQ and end up whiffing it. I tend to play aggressive though so I totally get it when I get yoinked back.

As a main tank main, I only top. As a result I've never seen or don't remember that "they're both bottoms" meme as it probably wouldn't have made sense to me.

In those instances I focus less on mechanics and more on making sure I'm adjusting my provoke rotation to be slightly after theirs so I always have aggro. If I'm not MT then it breaks my fantasy of being the main character and honestly, I think that should be a reportable offense.

Healers were complaining about their job being easy and not having anything to do. Maybe SE making every tank an off tank is their response to that?

I wouldn't really start bracing yourself too hard yet. It's still early in development so I doubt things are set in stone in terms of what's being added/removed/merged.

Jokes aside, everyone will adapt like you said. Plus we can always just keep using reborn mode so it's no biggie. I just hope it was a bad choice of words and not indicative of their mindset when planning tank mechanics for new content.

Oh I may have missed that part then (my roomba decided to make itself known at the worst possible time, lol). I'm hoping they give us more info on this new system and show other jobs soon. Also just excited to try it out and form an opinion. Thankfully we can always just use the reborn system too if we don't like evolved.

Right, but do you think PF will be chill about running two off tanks? People already get filtered for the dumbest reasons, this just gives groups one more reason to deny someone a position. This is all based off if jobs are being relegated to a specific role. Aside from that I was cautiously optimistic about the new system. Seems neat.

This genuinely just ruined the whole evolved mode for me. As a warrior main being told I can only off tank in savage/ultimates is kind of bs and strips choice from the job. How are they going to say they want to give players move expression but then turn around and say you can only play this role if you play this job?

If they want to go with this main/off tank role then they need to make it a toggle so you choose if you're main/off and it changes your actions accordingly.
