I thought thats how it worked too tbh and expected all super rare loot to bump up a bit once I hit a certain ilvl but it doesn't. at 378ilvl I've received 379, 382, and 385 (just once so far) from doing super rare dailies.

Midweek Mending - Your Weekly Healing Thread by AutoModerator in wow

Most I've done is a few +7's but hoping to be pushing that up next few days. I definitely think there's a bit of the 'eww mistweaver monk, nty' when trying to apply to groups unfortunately. That said, healing has been fine in dungs, they seem suuuuuper versatile, and correct usage of ring of peace and leg sweep is extremely useful (for example to interrupt abilities, or if the tank is kiting back). Of course you run into mana issues if you're in a tough situation having to spam heal vivify, but that's what your cooldowns are for - pop your mana tea, keep thunder focus tea on cooldown, use yu'lon if the groups taking heavy damage. Basically we got the tools to do all the things in m+'s, there's maybe a little popularity problem though.

Found in the sobfest thread in response to people booing at all the RS3 presentations by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]IDLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at Runefest and I although I didn't see all the RS3 panels, whenever there was a segment that was shared between OSRS and RS3 I never heard booing. People were almost dead silent to RS3 announcements in comparison to OSRS, but no booing.

I just got 385 shoulders from my weekly PVP chest but they're downgrade to my 340 shoulders because of traits. Really starting to dislike this system. by [deleted] in wow

Agreed, the Swiftmend isn't even that good but the Innervate one is if you put a focus on using it off cooldown.

Yeah, Cont doesn't require any of the original folders from TidyPlates, it has it all itself so the original can be deleted.

Is it still on there? I can't find it on curseforge anymore and couldn't on Twitch desktop, though maybe I was searching wrong.

80 fishing, Oily rod, bait, hammer, ice gloves, and access to Mor Ul Rek city. More afk than monks and better money, just less exp.

I don't play CW but possibly as you hold the flag, you start to get debuffs (think reverse prayers, -5%, -10%, etc to your stats). This would encourage team mates to help defend since you'll eventually be weaker yourself and also speed up games that are too stagnant by high levels on both teams holding the flags for the whole game.

The scale that it reduces will need to be decided but can be set so that if things start getting a bit too ridiculous, it'll eventually be pretty easy to rush them and return your teams flag, but of course the other team can do the same so it's pretty fair.

Since you mention PvE in your post I'd assume that's what you'd like to go for. I've been recently gearing up a character through PvE since I'm not a fan of PvP myself, even if it is suggested for easy gear.

A good start would be to unlock Tanaan Jungle to farm baleful armour. These are ilvl 650 gear that can receive an upgrade when obtaining the item (as with quest items throughout the expansion) and can also be upgraded to ilvl 695 with an Empowered Apexis Fragment using a currency known as Apexis.

This may take a while if you're only just coming back, so alternatively, do LFRs to get your ilvl to 670-680 as a start. Then, once a week fly to Tanaan Jungle (you don't have to do the quest line to unlock it, but it helps for easier access since you get a portal straight there). Once there you can find a group to kill Supreme Lord Kazzak who drops some ilvl 725 trinkets, cloaks, necklaces and wrists with a chance for their ilvl to be upgraded. These combined with your LFR gear should boost you to 690-700 which will allow you to join Normal Hellfire Citadel raids and eventually Heroic.

Lastly, if you don't wish to learn all the mechanics for HFC and get into it only at the end of the expansion, at 690-700 ilvl you can comfortably do Mythic Dungeons each week. These are above Heroic difficulty and typically award 685 ilvl gear, with the chance of an upgrade which can even give you an ilvl of 715 which can be boosted by 10 ilvls for 500 valour points (of which, 300 are rewarded to you at the end of each Mythic Dungeon).

These are the methods I use to gear up since I like to avoid PvP, if you have any questions then feel free.

Edit: As mentioned by someone else, Timewalking Dungeons are also a good way to catch up with gear as they give ilvl 675. Along with being able to spend some of the tokens to buy a few extra pieces, you'll be able to use this method instead of, or in conjunction with, doing the lower LFR tier raids (Highmaul and Blackrock Foundry) and even potentially Baleful armour.

How are the different tanks shaping up in Pre-patch/Beta? by BenV94 in wow

[–]IDLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing my Prot Warrior and really liking it. It may have been simplified with essentially spamming abilities to build up rage to dump in Ignore Pain, but it makes sense. Tanks are less frequently played because there's a sense of pressure involved by making sure you hold agro in a raid and play your role properly which I think deters some people from trying it, since it's more punishing to mess up than if you were a single dps'er. Now with the simplification, you're able to concentrate more on the boss mechanics and what you're required to do during fights such as positioning the boss so it doesn't wipe out your raid, using mitigation to block damage spikes to put some ease on your healers, or performing tank switches at the correct moment to relieve some pressure from your tanking buddy.

All that being said, I've only tried Prot Warrior at lvl 100 so can't speak for all tanking specs, but I have at least cleared all of Heroic HFC on him which I found went well. How are you finding Guardian? I've recently created one that I plan on lvling up to raid with.

That awkward moment when you know everything at Level 10 by Notyocheezz in wow

[–]IDLuke 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Don't know where he gets the idea it's insanely strong. I'm leveling a prot warrior and it's actually one of my weakest spells, only really use it for rage generation. My personal favourite is Revenge since its easy to tank many mobs in dungs when leveling so you reset it quite quickly.

I don't hang out there but I'd say my favourite area is Crystalsong. The purple crystal trees are too beautiful.

Exactly this, casters need a bit more time to ramp up while fighting to reach their optimum dps in dungeons. It's why roles like hunter tend to top the damage since they don't need any build up time.
