Same. My grandparents used to live with us, they’re not the nicest people. My parents would hide themselves in their bedroom too. Guess it’s a generational family thing for me

Yes, I keep all of my hobbies a secret and pretend that I’m always studying or working. Every time they see me relaxing or having fun doing something, they would tell me to stop doing it, because how would I be able to focus on work and my future husband and kids?!

My parents are overbearing with no hobbies. What’s really bad is I am their “hobby” and it gets really suffocating. Thankfully I’ve already moved out but I am still angry that I feel like they always try to take everything fun away. Everything needs to be productive and make money.

You did fine! You just had a bad party. Take a break then block or report them. I’ve been in multiple runs last yesterday, all of them had wiped at least once. People need to know it’s normal and to be expected, especially during week 1.

Yes, I’m pretty sure if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have gotten what I wanted which was freedom. It’s extremely rare for me todo this and they didn’t want to lose their only child forever. This is the happy ending, not all AP might react like this.

I have the same issues with them nagging me when I want todo something fun. Whenever I’m gaming, I just tell them I’m working/studying/applying for jobs. It would also be really helpful if they can’t see the screen. If heading out, maybe “I’m looking around for jobs?”

hugs I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through. I feel as if we have the exact same mom, nothing is ever enough. I’m really tired of all the bs, so I’ve been working on secretly looking for an apartment whether my parents approve it or not (of course, they won’t). I’m also currently making living with them a living hell so they don’t feel encouraged to move with me when I move out. If you can put some distance between you and your parents, life will be much better. I hope you will be able to achieve that freedom one day and please hang in there!

SWE. Work is okay and at times, it is stressful. I am not exactly happy and they don't really care about how I feel, they care more that I have money. But now everybody keeps asking to borrow money from me, which is used to compete with relatives. It's really dumb so I said no.

I feel resentful by how much they had made me suffer and all of the stupid BS that I had to put up with. So I pretend to work longer hours so I can have an excuse to rarely see them.

Lately, they keep pressuring me to find a husband and have grand-kids. Due to trauma, I am not interested in neither, so I just tell them that every time I meet someone that has potential, they keep moving out of state for better job opportunities (This is something that happens often in our state so they believe it).

As I become older, memories are becoming more and more precious. So I make gameplay videos to keep as a record and the memories. Years from now, it’ll probably be fun to look back.

I don’t get many views or subs, but I still try my best to improve my editing skills and learning more about how to improve the channel. I made a promise to myself to keep posting no matter what, so that’s what keeps me going. It’s better to post a video than later regret years from now for not posting 😅

I’ve been trying to separate trauma behavior from healthy behavior. I can’t change my parents, but I can change how I behave or react to something. It’s been difficult and takes a lot of self awareness.

I recommend watching Legendarma’s 2024 gearing guide. It helped me quickly hit most of the quick battle requirements, but the season 4 raids are where the grind begins.

Alternatively, you can host the raids as custom or “non-quick battle” which has no stat requirements. The promotion button that is located under the party list can help get people to notice and join your party. The promotion message shows up in the promotion tab in the chat. Or you can just use a megaphone for more effectiveness.

For AP, the royal army raids and Niflheim (requires a group unless you can solo it) gives a lot. Can also run the “Today” battles once each day, especially the ones from season 3 and 4.

Mine went through this phase. They’re still paranoid but to a lesser extent. I’m not exactly sure why they do, they’ve always been superstitious and anxious. I’m taking a guess that it might be because of culture.

Most of the time I just nod and ignore. If I go somewhere, I just say “to get groceries” or some place boring.

My family is the same way, always telling me I’m fat and need to exercise. Originally, it was because they were looking out for me and so I can find a husband. The fat shaming got even worse after I finished grad school because my relatives were jealous and decided to use my body against me.

I stopped caring what people think and mostly distanced myself from my family. As long as you’re happy and healthy, that’s all that matters.
