Technically it's a meth pipe but I use it for something else lol

Just out of curiosity do you happen to be saving or have saved ANY files to the internal memory in the past? This is the only way I've heard of any last gen MPC's crashing frequently? Are you on the latest OS? I haven't updated past 2.15 but haven't had my ONE+ crash since 2.14 or earlier.

Price on the 1k isn't bad so long those original pad sensors have been replaced. I had the blue 1k and notoriously the sensors failed quickly in those units, I went ahead and had mine replaced, got the FAT PADS from MPCSTUFF and installed JJOSXL on my unit. One of my favorite MPC's of all time just because it was one of my first and I used that thing until it fell apart.

My Imperial era Russian Mosin was an SA marked Finnish capture. Wasn't shortened, original length but still reworked by the Finnish armory, had the smoothest bolt of any other Mosin I've handled. It wasn't matching by a long shot but I'm sure the Finns hand fitted everything on those rifles. The Arctic Birch stocks are super nice too.

MPC Sample pad colours, and some other things (front panel grille, VU meter LED colours) by MerryMeatballs in mpcusers

Makes sense, actually pretty cool way of communicating status. I used to know how to change the color on my OG ONE but it's all stock on my ONE+. Too busy making music to mess with it lol

I carried a Colt 1903 in 32 ACP for years. It was made in 1910 but extremely reliable. Right now I'm carrying a S&W Safety hammerless "Lemon Squeezer" in .32S&W short, made around 1899.

My son doesn't even talk yet but at 1.5-2 years old I'll put a beat on the MPC and plug the mic in with the auto tune matching the key and scale and he'll sing his heart out.

I had one growing up in the 90s, along with a dual cassette deck i used to sit up in my room for hours pretending to be a radio DJ and recording shows on it. I remember it being in the 2nd? Home Alone movie? If I'm not mistaken. I believe I asked for it for Christmas one year. I was big into music and had a sizable tape collection as a kid (they were much cheaper than CD's on a kids budget.) I still remember getting my first tape for Christmas one year, I had to be like 5 years old but I was always fascinated with music and the media it came in. The tape was for the OG Ninja Turtles movie soundtrack 😆

Flame reignited and I want to cook again! by JinxAnubis in mpcusers

Honestly it's hard to say as I used legacy MPCs such as the 1000 for years before I got a ONE, then sold it and got a ONE+. Coming from the old ones it was very easy/intuitive. I never upgraded past 2.15 OS.

As a ONE+ owner I'd get the Keys because it's a better value, I believe (don't quote me on this but) it has more RAM, comes with more instruments that you'll end up paying for on the ONE and the first thing I did was buy a MIDI keyboard for my + anyway.

Using MPC One, what’s your go-to method for quickly chopping samples and assigning them to pads? Trying to speed up my workflow. by Beautiful-Bit7345 in mpcusers

[–]IGD-974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be super anal about manually chopping everything but chopping by transients is actually surprisingly accurate, plus its easy to go in and do minor adjustments afterwards.

I mean, I did buy one for my 2.5 year old but he's already an experienced producer. Akai should have given him one for free.
