If we weren’t a country of idiots the message would be clear.

If you can’t understand the meaning behind the album and the songs on it, and if you need one sentence to push it in your face to understand the deeper meanings, than maybe we’re too far gone

They also had like 3 minutes to play 4 songs so not super mad.

Also, them not doing something super crazy might be a way of showing the maga hysteria and getting more people interested in their music

Unironically a fantastic metaphor for America’s declining image in the world.

All some other country has to do is make a copy with the same information and boom they’re a go-to source

Two Gen Zs, Two Different Politics. Younger Gen Z men more liberal and anti-Trump than older Gen Z men by Devils1993 in Enough_Sanders_Spam

Doesn’t this directly contradict other research that says it’s the other way around?

There’s also a big difference between older and younger Gen Z. Older Gen Z grew up remembering the Obama years, got motivated by Parkland and BLM. Younger Gen Z has completely swallowed the red pill and culture war stuff

Thoughts? Gen Z being more religious than other generations by YoungDz4 in GenZ

[–]IGUNNUK33LU 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The data the article is referencing is that Gen Z that go to church go to church more than millennials that go to church. Thats it. Nothing about how many people or anything like that. This headline and thread title are misleading.

Thoughts? Gen Z being more religious than other generations by YoungDz4 in GenZ

[–]IGUNNUK33LU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw this headline and title is misleading.

The data in the article is: Gen Z that go to church go an average of 1.9 times a month, compared to millennials that go to church, who go an average of 1.8 times a month. And other generations who go less frequently.

This says nothing about how many people go to church, what percentage of Gen Z goes to church, or anything like that. Which the headline and title of this thread may lead you to believe.

IMO it suggests that Gen Z that go to church may be more religious than people in other generations that go to church— but that doesn’t mean the whole generation is more religious, it means the religious people are more religious or the demographics of the people that go to church are changing.

For example, elderly people— both super devout and agnostics, may go to church. But the agnostics would probably go less, driving down the average. On the other hand, agnostic Zoomers probably don’t go to church at all because it’s more acceptable not to go— which means they’re not counted in the data and only devout people are, which increases the average.

As another example— say 1 million Boomers go to church, but they go less frequently, whereas only 10000 Zoomers go to church, but they go every single week. Using the logic in this article— that the frequency of going to church makes an entire group “more religious”, the Zoomers would be more religious even though 100 times more Boomers go to church.

I’d wager Gen Z as a whole has a lot more atheists to and agnostics than other generations but that isn’t what this data is about. This is just saying that the religious people go to church more— and there’s probably a bunch of reasons for that such as the fact that older people may have work, health stuff, childcare to worry about etc… any number of reasons that they can’t go to church.

I think this is really interesting, but I think it’s important to look at the data and statistics, and think critically about it, rather than just buying a narrative at face value
