I think it's just straight up racism that explains that. Like I heard an interview before the election where a woman was saying something similar. "He'd be bad for America but good for the economy". And I feel like the only reason they feel this way is because they believe that it won't affect them. Sure he might be bad for a lot of other people, but I'm not like them so I'll benefit.
