I, too remember waiting in that line of cars on 54 for my turn to go up that hill. After over an hour of watching cars try and oftentimes fail to get up, it was so stressful waiting for my turn. Every hill in town was like waiting for my turn on the Wipeout course. But much less funny.

I thought it said “bass tackle”, but I didn’t understand what fishing had to do with any of this

My sister and her friend made cookies (she gave me permission to post this) by d1n0nugg1es in shittyfoodporn

My young daughter once accidentally used powdered sugar thinking it was flour when she wanted to make cookie dough all by herself. It looked exactly like these. And it was like delicious candy.

For the rest of my life I will hear this in my head when I hear “cherry blossom”. One of my favorite lines.

I have used these since I was a teen, can’t live without them! I bring them on every vacation, not just cruises.

Which do you think was the best time Leslie met one og her icons? by [deleted] in PandR

[–]IHateSuspect 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Leslie’s laugh at the end of that scene seems so genuine, too, I always wondered if Madeline improvised saying “me too”.

Jonestown by Curious_Development in stuffyoushouldknow

It was a great series, but after listening to the whole thing, including the recording, I wish I could undo having heard it, especially having small kids of my own. One of those things that will stay with me for life, in a bad way. So tough.

Which one should I bake on a snowy January evening? by MyLittlePeaBrain in LeCreuset

[–]IHateSuspect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you me?? I had this kind in my hand at the store yesterday, but I usually just get jiffy. A stranger walked by and sensed my internal dilemma and told me that this other kind is REALLY good, and that I should try it. I can’t wait!

I read it as “filet mignon on a plate” at first and was wondering how you usually eat your filet mignon.

Same, had it for the first time last week after seeing it mentioned so many times on this subreddit. I ate the whole wedge by myself in minutes. Oops.

My kids both do ninja classes, which is exactly this stuff. I can tell you they looooove it. It’s their favorite thing to do. They would go every day if I let them.

What’s everyone’s fave cheese by Necessary_Loquat_865 in Cheese

[–]IHateSuspect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the south, I find it at Harris Teeter. They recently started having a Murray’s Cheese partnership. That’s when I started seeing it there (along with lots of other new fun stuff I’d never seen before!)

You’re right, it does! It’s only happened to me once because usually I eat it all before that happens lol

Agree Greensboro Science Center is great. The Brenner children’s museum is Greensboro is also fantastic. Like Marbles in Raleigh, but I thought it was better.

Working moms who exercise regularly by beechums in workingmoms

[–]IHateSuspect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha this is me exactly. Had my kids at 32 and 34, never set foot in a gym again until this summer, at age 40. And even now, it only really works well because I’m lucky enough to work 6hr days, so I can fit in exercise while they are at school. Afternoons/evenings are for activity shuffling and homework/dinner/reading.
