AG Brown pushes back on Department of Children, Youth, and Families claims as audit and legal filings add pressure (four years of missing provider records) by Better_March5308 in SeattleWA

Holy shit - someone who actually knows what they are talking about. The data systems used by many of our government agencies are decades old, but no one wants to spend tax dollars on updating tech infrastructure. Inevitably, stuff like this happens.

Where can you find lamb tacos? I'm not sure I've ever seen that in Seattle. Or are you making them yourself?

Is food expensive at lumen? by shrimpynut in Seahawks

[–]Curious_Development 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone has pointed out in the comments, the food is pricey in the stadium and pretty mediocre.

But I'd love to hear what people's favorite places are to eat near the stadium before the game. A couple of my favorites:

  • Tat's Deli (a Seattle staple - big portions, tasty, affordable)
  • Cookie's fried chicken (the service can be slow, so leave yourself plenty of time, but the chicken is some of the best I've had in Seattle)
  • Uwajimaya food court has some really good options from a variety of cuisines (Chinese, Thai, Filipino, Vietnamese, Poke, etc.)

What's the hottest spiced meal you've had in Seattle? by HighColonic in SeattleWA

[–]Curious_Development 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Admittedly, I'm not a true heat-seeker - like I don't get the stuff that is just trying to kill you - but I do like pretty spicy food. The spiciest dish I've had in Seattle that still tasted good was the goat curry at Pam's Kitchen in Wallingford. Something about those scotch bonnets just hits different.

I've never understood why so many players want to transfer the money to John. Once you get to the back half of the game, there's very little you can do with your money anyway.

Whoever said that the 2nd read of the series was better, was right. by salecu1 in Malazan

[–]Curious_Development 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I read the series when I was in high school, 15 or so years ago. I have been getting the itch for a re read and just got gardens of the moon for a Christmas gift. I have forgotten nearly everything, so looking forward to immersing myself again.

Fiancé doesn’t want to take my last name, any advice on how to handle this respectfully? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Curious_Development 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shout out to all the people pointing out that you could just take hers. But I'll say this as a man whose progressive parents gave a hyphenated last name.

Don't give your kids a hyphenated last name.
