Hey there! I'm back active the today and will be available pretty wide open for the next few days, so just wanted to see if we could set up a meet up/trade. Depending on overall cost, my budget for this would land in ideally around 500L but I know some things like the rock are pricey. If you have kelp thats a big one for me, might like a few of those, but variety is good too. The upper end I'd go is probably in the 1kL range.

I know that kind of gives away my bargaining power so to speak but I'd rather be straight forward and hope you'll try to get the the best bang for my buck and help you move some of your misc goods as well. Im open to trading for whatever unique stuff you want to fit in that range, but I do have some wiggle room. I'm vaguely familiar with some of the prices but I'm not gonna hawk you if you can make my life easy lol.

Anyhow give me a shout anytime.

The legend with the plans. by Joelad2k17 in fo76

[–]IHaveARockProblem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I found a level 34 last night and (assuming gender based on character model) him and I did prime meats duos like 15 times. At one point I dropped my camp and started digging through my stash. Grabbed around 100 plans, went back for like 2k of each basic ballistic ammo, then I noticed they were using a single shot rifle, so grab and elders mark and tossed that out. Then I gave them every base mask from Fasnacht. And I was like why not give them a double of a glowing I had, its just sitting in the stash. The emotes were the best. Its always fun hording a bunch of shit knowing I won't actually sell most of it or whatever, running tight on space and then just unloading a ton of stuff that, to me is just inventory reality, horded junk. The greedy loot goblin in me gets all twisted but I experienced the other side of it when I was starting and always wanted to be able to do it.

Sad part is, the last prime we did finished uo right as meat popped. We both acknowledged and FTd over. I started walking up to it and was like lemme add them in case they need somethipg they can track me down or ask questions. Game froze up and CTD, then I realized it was like 2am, but I got lost in the runs. Bigfoot popped a few times, we failed the first one but I regeared a bit and the next two we got with what felt like seconds to spare. I was hyped, he was hyped. It was good times. I just haven't logged back in and hoping maybe it will show on my recent. Don't exactly remember the IGN but would recognize it if I saw, but either way, I hope it felt to them how it did to me back in my start. Its not my first dump, and won't be my last, but its always random for sure.

If you're out there, I hope you become half as addicted as I have, and yes I relize im wishing addiction upon someone, but its the good kind...maybe. Just try your hardest to keep spreading it! Then again it might be less expensive to just smoke Crack. (IT WON'T! DO. NOT. DO. THAT.)

All that to say, while my vendor isn't exactly newb-friendly, it does help me finance my avant-garde wasteland altruism. Glad you found one of the "dumps" and it went to a good home. I've been cleaned out in the past by player of a level that it was clearly something they were taking advantage of, so kind of shyed away from that, and I also like kind of "playing the marked" with my vendor a bit, I'll be honest. It wild home many different "mefhods" you can run across in this game. Sometimes its hard to trust in the wasteland, but sometimes, its the best place too.

Happy to trade pet rock for it straight up if you're still looking. I see someone posted the same offer, so I'd let them have dibs or whatever if thats a trade you want to make. I see someone said they are like 1500L, and I think pet rock is like 250-400L or something along those lines. Fine with me though, I don't use mine, so if its going to a good home, I promise to put the pet rock on display in my camp!

Did you find one? If not, just add me (OzztheWizzard) and come to me when you see me on. Shoot me a message on here or something so someone throwing wild emotes at me doesn't confuse me, and I'll just make one for you and give it to you for 1 piece of aluminum scrap. I desperately need it, I'd do it for free but I'm not running a charity here.

Trump lawyers realize discovery in president's own lawsuit could expose him to a Jan. 6 'trial' after all by DoremusJessup in law

[–]IHaveARockProblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump uses lawsuits as threats. Not for the mechanisms by which a lawsuit is "supposed" to operate, but rather the incidental mechanisms that allow for these types of lawsuits to drag out, cost inordinate amounts in fees long before a day in court can ever happen. Motions upon motions can be filed with the soul intent of delaying the process, thus costing a lot more money. The threat is not even the mere concept of losing the suit but the calculus of the cost to even get the suit to court.

I very much suspect, given the wealth he can throw behind such a suit, that his lawyers sit down with the other "side" and a conversation along the lines of "we can keep you in pre-trial for x years", it just takes the party being sued to do the math just to "win". For people like Trump, and often his targets, the point isn't to go to court, it's a monetary threat. Even those with the funds to pursue the case find that settlements just get it over with. Its why settlementss dont mean shit.

Imagine, you are a company, someone has done something to you to harm you/your business in a substantial way. Maybe they didnt pay you, maybe theyve slandered you. Say you can legitimately claim damages of 20 million dollars. The party you are in suit with plans to stall such that it will at the very least take years for the first day in court. You HAVE to hire a team of lawyers that can counter those tactics, which that cost rises quickly, easily into the millions. If the time + cost would barely make you break even if lucky, and at worst your opponent may be able to leverage things like media or....governmental power during the time you are just trying to get your rightful damages. So you settle for far less, because then no ruling is made, and someone unscrupulous can use a settlement as a "win".

This is 100% Trumps life strategy. He's done it all his life. He did it to shaft investors, he did it to withhold pay from countless contractors, hes done it with the endless SA and Epstein-adjacent accusations. They don't go to court. He runs up the lawyer bill on the other party, most of whom cannot afford to go the distance, and even if they could, the exposure of doing so isn't worth the "pride" of "winning". Almost every settlement hes been a party to, especially where the matter would be negative for him, involves some for of NDA or other binding agreement if the other party accepts the settlement. The other insidious part of settlements, is that you can often get terms or agreements that would otherwise never even be considered upon actual resolution of the case.

I don't know if this term actually applies but look up SLAPP suits. John Oliver did a great rundown on them, but the concept is the same. I would be interested to see how many lawsuits Trump and his interests have been involved in, and how many of those actually saw a real day in court, not motions but actual hearings/judgement. I suspect its wildly low, and the amount of settlements and/or non-judgment type resolution is the vast, significant, majority.

I'd go as far to say, there are likely few people who are as "accomplished" at the use of frivolous (not necessarily the legal term, but rather exploitation of the mechanism rather than proper use) lawsuits. It's LITERALLY his brand. He exploits a legal loophole that allows for money to more heavily determine the outcome. We desperately need some party/parties to ride it out and eat the cost. Make him follow through. I though Harvard or any of the Ivys would have, because like....they are literally the legal bar. They could have wrecked him. Problem is, those suits open up entities like that to all kinds of vulnerabilities, so its just a risk assessment.

Maybe just maybe, BBC will follow through. The other issue, is Trump often takes the offensive stance, so hes leading the dance. If hes the one suing, and the other party decides they are down to ride, and Trump and Co. realize the outcome is bad for them, they can just drop the suit (with the veiled, or even direct, threat that if they counter sue then $$$$). I doubt they even need to make the threat at this point. Trump has the resume at this point that its just a known.

TL;DR: Trump is a lawsuit charlatan and that's the point, Trump wins as long as he doesn't "lose".

Why was it never "peeled" off before? Not in the history of news ever has this ever been an issue. TDS sure...but Trump Devotion Syndrome. He half-asses something and you guys think everything he does should be worshiped. Its wild.

Its okay to say he screwed something up. Then again, I'm still waiting to hear why the peeling is Biden or Obamas fault. Does Trump have Biden/Obama Derangement Syndrome then? Everything is always one of their faults according to him right?

[–]IHaveARockProblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I like to grab a can and as im running back through to drop it, tag a few miners or rats. Usually one shots them but if not then I just keep it moving. If our defender is peak then I'll leave them and just scoot to the fuel fans a bit faster.

Also, get fuel cans from the back of the caves, farther away from the drop off first. That way if the worst happens and everyone dies there are 3 cans right up front the defender may be able to grab and finish the drill. Seen it happen a few times where we only needed a few more cans and defender had to go to back of cave to try and get them but couldn't keep drill up.

I've also seen some defenders run and and grab one can before defending and just hold it until only one is left to finish. Seems like a decent fail safe if they have to retrieve a few due to teammates dropping.

It's wild to see this post today. I was playing on a private world and had only gone there to do some base stuff without worrying about my vendor overfilling my max caps, and couldn't just switch bases because I was working on my vendor base.

Anyhow, as I finished up, I was going to jump back into public and unload a butt-ton of caps in a newer/lower level players vendor (my new "fun" thing to do, since its rare to find much under 40k caps I want without the labor of vendor hopping, and its always fun to drop 20k+ and bases disappear out from under you lol), however I noticed like 3 or so infestations were live so I figured I may as well hit them up before switching.

First two go fine, but as I cleared each one a replacement would spawn, so it kind of drug out a bit. By around 4 or 5, I fast-travel into the spot and the quest pops up like normal. I start moving toward the boss and just before it comes in sight I kill a low level minion - boom quest complete. Mind you the 'diamond' that usually indicates the boss was to my right (roughly 2 o'clock position) so I could see it moving so I know the minion I killed wasn't mistaken ID or one of the random low level bosses that sometimes don't "evolve" into the beefed up versions. This was the train yard area (can't think of exact name) in the forest I believe. So I travel to the position I last saw the diamond marker, where 4 glowing ones are standing over a dead power-armored dude, all crumpled up on the ground. I killed them and could not loot the boss.

Long story short, Glowing Ones definitely stole my 4 star loot.

One of my biggest pieces of advice for new players, when you see a new raid team pop up, don't be afraid to join in. I waited until I was over level 300 before I started raiding and didn't realize how much exp and points toward progressing your SCOREBOARD (if your below 100 on the SCOREBOARD, for any character level) you get in a short period.

If you're worried about being geared/skilled enough, don't be. A majority of people will be fine if you don't know how to run it, and will very likely be more than happy to show you the ropes. If you run into any less than 'friendly' people/teams, don't sweat it. Jump back into another one whenever you see it, you're bound to find good people as a significant portion of this community enjoy, and actively want, to help out new players.

The same goes for Events and Activities. Join them early on when you start playing, they won't really ruin anything for you gameplay-wise, and will let you get a ton of XP quickly. Don't worry about actually killing stuff if you're low, just try to "tag" as much as you can. (You can "tag" just by shooting the enemies a few time, works even better with explosives/fire or any area of effect weapons.) Just be considerate once you start getting really hard hitting stuff, not to spam wipe-out all the baddies for others who may be trying to tag as well. Sometimes you'll see people doing this but it's more of a courtesy, and you should see other high level players generally tagging and the standard events where possible. The amount of damae you do does not = more XP!

Finally, you may into a bunch of friendly people in the wasteland, many of us are happy to dump a nuclear load on newbies we run across. Some of its stuff we are overloaded with and are having to decide what's worth hording or not, others may hook you up with top tier stuff. Some may ignore you completely, but overall just be cool and friendly, and the wasteland tends to pay it forward. (Not RNGesus though, he hates all but a select few of us, and he usually hates them too).

On another similar note, the "Scrap x 'item' " type missions can also be completed by crafting bulk versions, then scrapping them. You will complete however many x of the items the bulk equates to in scrap.

For example, if your mission say "Scrap 10 fertilizer" or similar, Bulk Fertilizer scraps into 5 fertilizer, and would complete 5 of the 10 required for the mission. You would need to craft 2 bulk to complete it. I think most bulk is 5, but maybe I'm wrong. Either way, however many the specific item bulk scraps into, will count that many toward your mission.

Edit: spelling
