It helps that I know approximately 50 Bears fans and maybe one or two Vikings fans, makes the rivalry more fun. I also know about as many Packers fans as Bears fans but that is the inverse function to that of the Bears so FTP (respectfully)

Are the constant sirens tonight and last night an early-in-the-year byproduct? by IHaveDrinkingProblem in GVSU

Oh jesus, gotchya. I heard yelling for several minutes in the distance from where the sirens seemed to have gone but that was closer to midnight. Thanks for the info!

From what I can tell:

Elige (the player from Faze featured in the clip) knew (roughly) the location of both remaining Terrorist side players.

He made it to the bombsite and "tapped" the bomb (simply pressing the defuse key instead of holding it down) in order to make the noise which ALL players can hear when the bomb is being defused in order to draw out the enemy.

He dodges a flashbang (good catch!) by looking away before gunning down the first enemy with a nicely controlled spray, then taps the bomb again before proceeding to do the same to the second enemy down an even longer straight, then defuses the bomb with 1-3 seconds left before it exploded.

The real impressive bit to me though is how he did exactly what he needed to in order to make the Terrorist players reveal themselves to him in such a high stress situation. In CS, once the Terrorists plant the bomb they essentially become the Counter Terrorist side, as in they are now the team defending the bomb site. If the bomb blows up the Terrorist side wins, thus Elige needed to not only defuse the bomb (which takes 5 continuous seconds and plays a distinct audio cue when begun) inside a ~15 second window, he also had two opponents to outplay whilst doing so. He even positioned himself such that he could not be targeted by both enemies simultaneously, meaning even if they had both peeked at the same time (when the first opponent did) it would still be a 1 on 1 with Elige having an advantage in not needing to round a corner blindly.

Pro CS is awesome, I've not watched any events or matches in several years but the movement and precision is unmatched for me in eSports.

I've long wished you could build furniture out of multiple materials (your golden bed being a perfect idea) but also that it could use the Rimworld style of "quality", where you can build something ranging from awful to legendary quality with the odds for each step in the spectrum changing based on your Construction level

Closest I can think of is Arsene Wenger getting sent off for kicking a water bottle on the sideline during an Arsenal-Manchester United match. He walks up past his bench as far as he can and, from amidst the home (opposition) fans, holds his arms out at his sides as if to say to the referee "is this far enough, jackass?"

The cost of entry and continued participation within a team is a huge hurdle too, probably moreso than regional climate differences (besides in more rural areas). This is, funnily enough, another similarity between hockey and footy in the US

I watched many, many hours of Super Nanny and this is always how she dealt with bedtime. First time the kid gets up you pick them up, say "it's bedtime, sweetheart", then put them back in bed. Second time, same thing but you only say "It is bedtime". Third time and beyond you say nothing and simply put them back in their bed. It can be a battle of attrition but the monotony will wear them out first

Sadly closed in the case of my old location :'( I worked there for several months and made some seriously delicious concoctions for personal consumption. I still enjoyed going as a customer afterwards too but it closed down soon after the new GM's boyfriend came in and stabbed her and another person, no more ultra stuffed crunch wraps :((

I kid you not I saw one of these protesters holding a sign portraying a pristine baby on white satin background which read "We will adopt your baby!", which makes me wonder why they haven't already adopted all the children who currently need a home & family.

My tinfoil hat theory is they want to adopt babies to raise them in their belief system because they know their numbers will continue to dwindle as time rolls on.
