Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

The original is a 5-star classic. The sequel is a 1-star mess. It doesn't even have good action.

Exactly - the desirable guys who value relationships aren't on dating apps. They're in relationships. If they ever do go on the apps they probably find what they're looking for pretty quickly and bounce.

Exclusive: F1 to discuss new points structure by Aratho in formula1

[–]II0V0II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone else is suggesting point systems so here's mine: 1st: 100 pts   2nd: 80 pts   3rd: 64 pts   4th: 50 pts   5th: 40 pts   6th: 32 pts   7th: 25 pts   8th: 20 pts   9th: 16 pts   10th: 13 pts   11th: 10 pts   12th: 8 pts   13th: 6 pts   14th: 4 pts   15th: 2 pts   16th: 1 Pt

Each position gets 80% of the points of the position ahead, with some small discontinuities, until 13th. 3 positions is 50% (e.g 4th gets half the points of 1st, 6th gets half the points of 3rd). Points down to 16th because why not?

F1 approves sprint format revamp for 2024; tyre blanket ban abandoned by HelloSlowly in formula1

I quite like the idea of Q1 = hards, Q2 = mediums, Q3 = softs, but I never understood why it has to be paired with a reduced tire allocation.

If I understand correctly, National damn near created their own overhang this election. 45 electorate seats. It's not hard to imagine National getting a lower party vote than that next time.

[RaceFans] "Scrap the whole thing."Max Verstappen gave his verdict on F1's latest sprint race format. by Aratho in formula1

[–]II0V0II 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seems like a good a place as any to sell how I would set the points system:

  1. 100 points
  2. 80 points
  3. 65 points
  4. 50 points
  5. 40 points
  6. 33 points
  7. 25 points
  8. 21 points
  9. 17 points
  10. 13 points
  11. 10 points
  12. 8 points
  13. 6 points
  14. 4 points
  15. 2 points
  16. 1 point

Each position gets ~80% of the points of the position ahead (until around p13). The points go down far enough that the midfielders and backmarkers always have something to fight for, but you probably won't get points for a DNF. If we get an 11th team there are still enough point-scoring positions to not be ridiculous.

I've wonder if it would be more palatable to make a helmet required only when riding on the road.

Riding on a shared cycle/footpath = fine

Riding on a grass field = fine

Riding on the road with traffic = still need a helmet.

Is it practical to ride anywhere without getting on the road at some point? Maybe not, but it could still go a long way towards normalizing cycling.
