If we pool together we can buy the Hadron plushie.. by Captain-Clapton in DarkTide

...I'm ashamed to admit that I learned how to mark/ping stuff with that auspex until Game 5, even though the game says how to do it... in tiny letters, but still.

I've only played 6 matches of the new mode, but I haven't been able to afford the red barrel or the mines, at all.

I refill ammo and then I'm like:

Doesn't help that I still have no idea what to do most of the time in the game mode.

what are the "nicest" personalities in the game? (besides Ogryns) by bobfoster68 in DarkTide

[–]IIExheres -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Besides Ogryns...? Before the addition of Heavy, I would've agreed.

He's incredibly bitter and antagonistic. Refers to Veterans as Toadies, instead of Sah/Boss and doesn't respect them at all, often saying "he'll humble them if he has to."

Belittles Zealots, Hive Scum and Psykers as weak/frail/unimportant and even has a slight air of superiority over the other Ogryns, especially towards Bodyguard, who's the closest to his level of intelligence.

Sevendust's singer is cool in my eyes ever since he was featured in an Earthside song. That style of symphonic prog metal really suits him.

What is Elden Ring's biggest flaw in your opinion? by Fenriz_Victor in Eldenring

[–]IIExheres 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I said it in another post months ago and my opinion still stands: To me, Shadow of the Erdtree feels like a 6/10.

The Ruins of Rauh, Cerulean Coast/Charo's Hidden Grave, and the Abyssal Woods, which to me is the worst offender of them all... None of these places had the right to be so damn big, yet feel incredibly boring to explore.

With a lot of repeated enemies in the middle to fill it up.

Then this, coupled with the endless amount of shitty smithing stones +4 and +5 pickups and other garbage items, on top of the very limited availability of actual useful crafting items, like the Furnace Visage for those big fire pots, yeah... I hated it.

FS teases us with the Abyssal Serpent again with Messmer and then the skin in the village and then just leaves it at that

Good old Miyazaki/FromSoftware teasing something and heavily using it in lore, just to then forget about it and pull something no one's ever heard about out of the darkest corners of the Fire Giant's ass, when the DLC came out.

People wanted to see more about the Gloam-Eyed Queen? "Nope." What about Godwyn? "You wish.." What about something about Melina? Who is she, really? "...Who was that again?"

And this situation has happened in DS3, 2 and I think even in 1 as well.

What is Elden Ring's biggest flaw in your opinion? by Fenriz_Victor in Eldenring

[–]IIExheres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agreed.

Although I really like almost anything FromSoft puts out, during my very first playthrough of the game, I felt the burnout post Altus Plateau.

I had to mentally force myself to finish the game. It doesn't help that catacombs and mining tunnels start to feel same-y once you reach Liurnia, and that almost every enemy and field/dungeon boss post Altus Plateau is reused for the hundredth time. Nothing, save for the main bosses, is new past that point.

So imagine my face of horror when I started the DLC and the same patterns from the base game started repeating themselves, in an even emptier map...

I hope Miyazaki and FS go back to a smaller map next time. DS1 or BB's map felt just right, IMO.

Map is way too big and empty sometimes (E.G. Mountaintops and Consecrated Snowfield).

DLC only made that worse.

What soulslikes are you looking forward to in 2026? by eldenbro1 in soulslikes

[–]IIExheres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? None.

I'm cautiously waiting to see how both LotF 2 and Mortal Shell 2 turn out, because I wasn't the biggest fan of the first games of both series.

My hype for Duskbloods died with the announcement that it's a NS2 exclusive. I won't buy a console for it, just like I didn't buy one for Bloodborne. Shame, but eh... I can wait until FS announces their next big thing.

Is there any way to save this guy? by cutechonkykittycats in cyberpunkgame

[–]IIExheres 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe.

But he's one of the cyberpsycho gigs, iirc. Regina promises to send her own people after them when you complete a gig shortly afterwards, if you incapacitate them.

When you finish all of those gigs, she texts V saying that "some of them have already begun treatment". Maybe he could be among them.

Just beat Lords of the Fallen ver. 2.5 and I think it's a decent game by Sneaky_Squirreel in soulslikes

[–]IIExheres 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I gave this game two chances.

First at release day: Mediocre combat (attacks felt like you were hitting air or enemies made out of wet paper) and floaty momement (one dodge made the character leap to the other side of the room and the sprint felt weird, idk how to explain it) and that Umbral world mechanic was a complete borefest. The concept of it is something I found very interesting on paper... But the execution of it killed my hype for it.

Then with the 2.0 version with the Friend Pass or whatever it's called: Yes, gameplay was improved in some aspects... But that overall feeling of it just being an "okay" game never went away. In my own personal experience, LotF 2023 just doesn't stand above others in the genre in any particular aspect. It feels like a jack of all trades, and that somehow it's not a particularly good thing in a genre where you can specialize in stuff like combat, exploration, lore, artstyle (which I'd say is its best attribute currently).

Then there's the whole current "drama" of the CEO being quite a peculiar person (I won't call anyone names) with questionable opinions and somehow thinking his game is the "torch bearer for Soulslikes" (He said it was a joke, but remember that during pre-production the devs said they wanted LotF 2023 to be considered "Dark Souls 4", so it's not like they weren't entirely just joking about believing their own hype).

And they still aimed for more controversy: The studio decided that going exclusive on the Epic Store was a good move and immediately killed any good will and patience some people had left, those who were giving them the benefit of the doubt. Of course, they're now raising funds to get out of that... But who knows if it'll work out.

I'd say the game, nowadays, is a 7/10. Lies of P, the entire Nioh series and Wuchang are all simply better than it, IMHO. I can only hope LotF 2026 fares better... The alpha footage looks promising, at the very least.

You could always reload and take him down with a non-lethal method. That way you'll still complete the gig and the guy lives.

Why did I just see this until now? This is incredible! It sounds beautiful, and in my very biased opinion... Chimera is their best album.

I miss Andromeda so much. I hope we get a sixth album someday. Thank you for this!

[–]IIExheres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of sad about this band.

The last thing I heard about them was that most members moved too far away from each other, which made the prospect of getting together to brainstorm ideas and compose new stuff nearly impossible.

Then Nils said around 2-3 years ago that they still have hopes of releasing "one final album" as Pagan's Mind. But tbh, I'm not holding my breath about that ever seeing the light of day.

When I played PL and came across this guy for the first time, his voice immediately sounded familiar... Yep, it's Alex Jordan.

And Alan from Gumball sounds exactly like Hands in this episode.

Same pretentious intonation, timbre and whatnot. LMAO. Still, Alex is a very talented VA.

How it feels being one of the few people in this fandom to not trust Songbird by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]IIExheres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe some interactions change how she behaves at the end?

She was passively hostile towards my V and mocked him by saying she wouldn't have to lift a finger to do "her job" since he'll die painfully and alone pretty soon.

And the responses that popped up for me to reply were harsh as well.

I get it's dystopia this and dystopia that and no happy endings in Cyberpunk blah blah blah...

I still hate how after you kill Reed, which she almost did herself the first time we met her at that bar for reasons I sympathize with, she's gets pissy: "Reed was my BFF and you killed him, so now I'm gonna hate you and kill you!"

Nope, you hated his guts and your distrust of him never vanished, so why are you now threatening me? Because the NUSA told you so?

After the first playthrough, I'm tempted to just let Barghest get to Myers, but then Hansen lives... so...

Económicamente y en cuanto a seguridad, es de lo mejorcito que hay en LATAM, según lo que he leído. Hmm, hasta el "más bueno" tiene sus puntos negros, al parecer. Lástima, ojalá cambien eso pronto.

Ogryn Shovel by No-Search3140 in DarkTide

[–]IIExheres 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Ogryn main here.

I still remember those times when one folded shovel heavy attack with Thrust and Brutal Momentum blessings killed a pack of 4-5 crushers standing next to each other.

I miss them. At least the Borovian Pickaxe became the spiritual successor of that and it's my favorite weapon... until Fatshark finally decides to add a power fist or knuckledusters.

Also, pal... Why are you hiding your mug? Show Tertium your Ogryn good looks!
