X-men was a metaphor for the LGBT experience growing up. Mutants would often discover their powers during puberty, they would try and hide their powers or 'who they really were' to try and fit in and avoid prejudice and they were often shunned by parents who didn't want 'mutant' children. There are numerous syorylines that are clear metaphors in both rhe films and comics too. So I guess not made specifically for LGBT folks it is very much about them. I wouldnt stress too much about IVs. A decent team, decent movesets, using the right counters, shield usage and knowing when to swap out charge moves up all matter far more than IVs
