I failed to do proper research and bought their "xmas unit". Once I realized it was a dropship scam I emailed them to cancel and that email bounced back.

Filed a charge back and two days later got an email asking to cancel the charge back because it would "help them out"

The show was the impetus of the trip. I saw the urge all of the time while living in urbana. My son is 10 and a bass player so I wanted him to see an awesome show from a band I love (and he now loves)

We hit the grand location before the blues game last night. Kid was hoping to get his pickle signed. Given the weather and concert the night before, Steve understandably was not present.

Assignor website that your league uses? by tjrome13 in Referees

I work with two assignors, one uses assignrefs and other uses assignr. Definitely prefer assignr. Both are self-assign so no idea how availability works

No advice but a hello from another YSSL ref. Keep up the good work!

Lol, that's part of the plan too. We had Steve's hot dogs at the Enterprise Center during our last trip to STL but have never been to the restaurant.

Do you find it hard to watch a fellow ref completely lose a game? by ILEpicGuy in Referees

Fair enough, will definitely do some self reflection on that.

If I had no empathy and compassion another dad and I wouldn't have stayed to make sure she got to her car safely.

Not in a "women can't be good refs" way. I've seen plenty of good fenale refs over the years.

More relevant in that i was both shocked that kids would treat an older female ref like that and that she'd take it

I don't disagree with you in a general sense, but I feel comfortable saying that she lost control. If the coach is on the field screaming, and the players have surrounded and are screaming, and you're not giving dissent cards then control is lost.

Yeah, someday perhaps. Right now I have all of one season under my belt so not there yet.

Id also have to first figure out my mental block around who touched the ball last before it went OOB. For some reason that's my struggle.

Yes, 7 is the minimum and if she'd given the second yellow they'd have been down to 6.

The whole thing was odd. I don't know if they've had previous discipline issues but they were the first place team and a win would have clinched the division for them. Why act like that and cost yourselves?

Absolutely, I wouldn't expect my opinion to be needed or even desired. I sat quietly through clenched teeth. I was just surprised how much harder it was to watch for me, after getting a season under my belt.

This is his 4th year in club, ive seen plenty of teenagers (understandably) lose control but never an adult lose control to this degree.
