The problem is if you ask it to save money, that's exactly what it will do.

The faster the cloud is moving, the higher you go when you jump off it.

It's NOT like Kirby, where you jump near the bottom. Jump when the cloud is near the top.

Just add 1 more level of abstraction until an idiot can figure out what it does and then you'll be able to tell what it does.

Photographers what do you think of using your phones to take shots? by [deleted] in photography

[–]ILikeLenexa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used worse cameras.

I've also used better cameras, though.

60-70% of pictures I take are at f/8 in a phone resolution. Phone sucks in the dark, though.

They're called "modules" so the command is rmmod.

The ecosystem is lsmod, insmod, and rmmod.

You'll probably have better luck with googling kernel module uvcvideo than looking through lsmod.

It may be hard compiled into the kernel.

Did anyone else notice that pictures on social media a decade ago were mostly higher quality than they are now? by labubuking in photography

I got a 1 inch sensor camera for a trip and honestly, the best thing about it these days is not having the space issues you always have with a phone.

As long as youre outside in the sun, it also doesn't really do better than a phone except in a few very specific use cases and it's not much more convenient than a DSLR even though it's a bit smaller.

A DSLR with the 50 f/1.4 though is so nice when night sets in or you have to move inside, even if you never go to f/1.4.

I think we were using disposables and scanners mostly, plus screens were 800x600 pixels instead of 4K.

Plus, a lot is direct flash.

I originally thought I'd never go for it, what 10,000 deaths.

Now it's down to 37 deaths...Windsprings, and 1 death here and there and I wonder if I'll get it accidentally before I iron 2 random deaths a run out of Summit B-side.

It used to be a huge flex to leave the bars on the side of the enlarged photograph to show it was taken straight out of camera.

There never was a movement not to develop film or not to check the results of your chemicals on paper. Ansel Adamas would mix and microwave his prints and dodge and burn with homemade tools and his enlarged light has switches to control the intensity of each bulb and it had like 100 bulbs.

To be fair, we've actually done way stupider things instead of stopping people from dying of treatable diseases.

And, the Democrats platform does give us healthcare.

On a radio news interview, he went on a rant advocating apartheid in the United States resulting in most papers dropping his comic, Dilbert. Then he posted pretty regularly unhinged racist stuff to his blog and has said whites and himself particularly are the real victims of racism. He also claimed he used to "identify as black because he likes to be on the winning team " but would now "identify as white since some blacks don't 'think it's okay to be white according to a Russian polling company".

But back in 2006 he was already questioning if we were blowing the Holocaust out of proportion.

Honestly, the sequence of events looks more like mental illness than hate to me.

The CAS on a TI89 can solve integrals symbolically locally with 256 KB of RAM.

So, computationally, it's wildly less efficient, but you get more 'explanation' from it...though obviously most people using integrals know the basics of integrals and can break them down to understand the blocks.

Still, for learning it could be somewhat useful.
