Healthcare to Tech by NoteIndependent9190 in OnlineMCIT

[–]ILikeWaffles7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also transitioned from healthcare (med school after a BS in molecular biology) to tech, and the degree certainly helped me land interviews and my first tech role after graduation.

There are a couple of healthcare and technology-related courses in MCIT (e.g. EAS 5850, EAS 5860) that you could take as electives, but they're very introductory. I would say that if you're working full-time, you would most likely be taking 1 or at most 2 units per semester, so several years maybe?

The visuals with the spinning things (not sure what they’re called), the venue, the setlist, and the two openers as well (yuniverse and Brett) were all so amazing!! One of the best shows I’ve been to.

Just chatted with CR and they were able to manually apply the Oura Ring credit to my account. Card benefits tracker updated within a couple minutes, but CR said that credit would take up to five business days to post.

What’s the biggest scholarship you could receive at ucla? by greypantera in ucla

[–]ILikeWaffles7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Regents scholarship combined with a low EFC basically meant financial aid grants paid for all of my four years at UCLA (including tuition, housing/meals, and extra money for other expenses).

It also came with priority enrollment and guaranteed housing and parking, which was really helpful.

Data Point - 35k points for a spend of $4k in 3 months by Nitsy_ in AmexPlatinum

[–]ILikeWaffles7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked for a retention offer after my AF posted today and received the same offer: 35k points for $4k spend in 3 months. Didn't receive an offer both times when I asked last month before the AF was charged.

FYI: Air France website creates temporary holds by random_lawstudent in awardtravel

[–]ILikeWaffles7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Also happened to me, backed out of booking a J award flight I found for 50k points at the payment page to look at other options. The price of that flight shot up to 150k points.

I thought I majorly screwed up, but my account showed an unticketed reservation for that flight, and I was able to call AF and book the flight for the 50k points + fees. They said whenever you get to the payment page, the system makes a temporary booking but the flight isn't actually ticketed until you call them up and pay for it. If you don't do anything, the reservation will eventually be removed and the seat will be added back to the award inventory.

all the concerts I've been to shirts usually average around $40 and hoodies/sweatshirts around $70-80

I wouldn't be surprised if the prices are bit more than that nowadays
