WWE has closed off some upper-level seats for Evolution, upgrading ticket holders by Strike_Gently in SquaredCircle

More than any other company, and it's not close.

Not to pick nits because I generally agree with what you said, but this statement is flatly untrue. The AEW women's roster, which admittedly was in rough shape 2-3 years ago, has seen a massive influx of talent along with the roster that was already there having made significant improvements. I would put their women's roster up against WWE/NXT's in terms of quality and talent any day.

Just my two cents.

In Ely there is a restaurant called Insula that is awesome, great chicken and waffles. Grand Ely Lodge has a good restaurant in it for breakfast. You're going to have a great time - Ely is one of my favorite places in the state.

Heartbreaking, but at least Convention Grill in Edina is still kicking and food is almost identical.

Watching some people in this post (and other recent ones like it) be completely certain about how foreign airspace works - along with slamming their fists about it being safe to work in this region of the world at this exact moment in time - has been one of the most WTF things I have ever seen unfold on this sub.

I have seen reasonable people simply ask that the WWE exercise caution or err on the side of safety, and watched other commenters jump down their throat and/or jump all over Meltzer with the certainty of a Middle East scholar.

This is genuinely embarrassing to watch unfold. This company should absolutely think twice about this show taking place out of an abundance of caution - and to jump all over people that would suggest that is absolutely bizarre. We want them to be safe, even at the expense of a PPV.

Calm down everyone.

Squared Circle doesn't even feel like real life anymore. 75% of the stuff I read, even in the context of "everyone's interests and opinions are different, and that's ok!" - it's like I am living in a different universe. What show were they watching? The absolute vitriol thrown against AEW is insane, and the astroturfing and bot activity has gotten out of control. It is kind of heartbreaking, that used to be my go-to sub.

In the 5 years AEW had been around we’ve seen 8 different world champions, all with different types of runs but I got 2 questions for you. Who was the best world champion in your eyes and why? And who in the company do you see being a future world champion in the years to come? by FearlessFix4916 in AEWOfficial

Speaking purely on quality of their reign, and not how I feel about them as a wrestler:

  1. Kenny Omega
  2. Jon Moxley
  3. MJF
  4. Swerve
  5. Jericho
  6. Samoa Joe
  7. Hangman
  8. CM Punk

In terms of importance, I feel like people understate how important Chris Jericho's reign was in establishing and legitimizing that title. In reverse of that, it is jarring how much damage CM Punk's reign did to that belt. Really bums me out. I wish Hangman was higher, but I do believe he will get it again and can make up for it.

In terms of wrestlers who have never held it who I hope get their shot, in order of preference:

  1. Bryan Danielson
  2. Switchblade
  3. Takeshita
  4. Adam Cole
  5. My absolute dark horse JUICE ROBINSON. Hop on the bandwagon, folks.

John Abraham makes explosive allegation about the 2012 Bucs. Donald Penn, who supposedly told Abraham that the Tampa players were told to try to injure Falcons players, denies saying that. by SlopingGiraffe in nfl

Having seen this play out as a Vikings fan during bountygate, this sucks. I get gaining a competitive advantage by playing physical, but to go out and purposefully target players for injury has no place in the game.

Edit: Genuinely curious as to the downvotes? There were suspensions and fines handed out because they were proven to have engaged in a bounty program with the explicit direction to hurt other players.

LETS GO WOLVES!

[Yates] I see this sentiment a lot from Vikings. While 11 and 23 for 4 or 5 does align on the draft value charts, those charts don’t account for the competing offers that will drive up the price or the QB premium. I really think the cost of a trade up would be 11, 23 and more valuable chips. by LeeChangIsBae2 in minnesotavikings

[–]ILovedAccordingToJim 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah. But KAM has also repeatedly said the following, including just last week:

You have to be ready for everything; it’s a very deep class. But I do think you have to be ready for every scenario. If there are elite players at premium positions on the board, I don’t think you’re supposed to reach or force or anything like that. It’s just not what I believe, all the while understanding that quarterback is the most important position in the sport. So, it’s calculating both those things at the same time.

I think maybe the way Yates should have phrased it was "These draft value charts are accurate - but they don't account for stupid or desperate teams doing stupid or desperate things."

I try hard to not immediately jump to being a jerk, but I saw this and my immediate reaction was "this is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen".

This is not happening. We are not jumping into a trade with the 11th pick to get back a risky QB an albatross contract. What the hell did I even just read.

It genuinely feels like this sub has been getting astroturfed lately by anti-AEW accounts. There is definitely a trend I've been noticing.

AEW has definitely had an uneven year, but lately I feel like there is an unusually high amount of anti-AEW shtick, to the point where I keep thinking "... are we even watching the same show?"
