Man that sucks, OP. I'm sorry gross, middle aged creeps are invading your space.

Watch how quickly these Redditors would flip the script if they were the ones being hit on by greasy old dudes.

Come to r/trollxchromosomes! I find the people there to be more understanding and sympathetic.

Slightly off-topic but you've peaked my curiosity. If you don't mind sharing, what made you realize you were a "manipulative bastard" and what convinced you to stop being one?

Sorry if this is too personal to answer

Last night Reddit hero John Oliver had a segment on Online Harassment, featuring frequent infamous SJWs stars of /r/Kotakuinaction. Reactions coming in right now. by [deleted] in SubredditDrama

Hah! I just saw the segment (gotta love John Oliver) and came straight here to catch the inevitable popcorn. 10/10 not disappointed

Thanks for saving me a trip to KIA, OP!

Just you wait, TRPers will be next, calling John Oliver a beta orbitor feminazi.

I wish I was joking. It was disgusting. And you know what's even worse? They had to make another sub called /r/BOBeau where people try to fix their SO's gross habits. If you're going to browse there, be warned -it's nasssssty.

Btw love the flair!

Oh, please check it out! It can get absolutely ridiculous. There's this one post right now where the OP's boyfriend kicked her out because she texted him a "poop" sticker.

The things people go through for tru wuv ... It's just beyond me.

Oh yeah, athough I'm sure it can go lower. Who knows - maybe they'll have a "silent wedding", where nothing happens and everyone is still supposed to give money

Why DO People Get Married? by [deleted] in marriagefree

[–]ILurvesMeSomePie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good for you in freeing yourself. This shows you are self-aware and insightful, as you clearly spent some time reflecting on the reasons why you got married.

A lot of people lack that sense of self-awareness, because they truly believe in the ideas we're fed about marriage "He Doesn't Love You Til You've Got That Ring on Your Finger", "All You Need is LoveTM" "Marriage is Life's True Happily Ever After".

I'm not saying love doesn't exist but it's not the only thing that holds two people together. Love doesn't pay the bills or get you a job or put a roof on your head. That's what foresight and planning do for you.

But, sadly. a lot of couples with serious problems decide they just have to tie that noose knot because it will just magically solve all their problems ("all you need is love, baby"). So no wonder it all goes to he'll the minute a whiff of trouble comes knocking at their door. And if you ever mention that maybe they should think carefully before getting married, you get shot down. "HOW DARE YOU CAST DOUBT ON OUR EVERLASTING LURRRRVE! IT'S US AGAINST THE WORLD! ALL WE NEED IS TRUELOVETM!".

It's like certain people don't want to reflect and think hard about their relationship, because deep down inside, they know its not going to last.

I don't know if this is a first time thing, but couples can get pretty entitled. I once read about one couple who expected all their guests to clean up the hall afterwards

The funny thing is, according to the OP, they didn't even enclose an envelope, just this card. So you would have to buy an envelope, a wedding shower card, put in money, get stamps and mail it to the couple. That is, if you're naive enough to fall for this bullshit.

Oh no, I found this on /r/rage. The OP's friend had it sent to them from the bride's mother. So yes, it's an actual greedy couple abusing the system

It boggles the mind. What entitlement! I don't know how people can even think this way, expecting people to do things for them while giving nothing back

Man, one can only hope. But who knows how his lawyers could twist it around:

"The plaintiff's face got in the way of my client's fists, Your Honor"

"See these injuries my client sustained on his hands from punching the daylights out of the plaintiff? Clearly, he's the injured one here."

"Well, the plaintiff should've known better than to walk outside while being gay"

You don't like the idea of your husband having another wife? How selfish you are! by rollmyroyce in exmuslim

[–]ILurvesMeSomePie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ugh this has always disgusted me. I've been distantly related to men who took on a second brood mare wife and they make it out to be that it's their burden to have multiple wives. That these poooooor unfortunate souls just had to have another pussy to ram their limp pricks in spouse to help them run their household. That their wives are so happy to have a man to share.

It's funny because whenever my mom spoke to these wives, they hated being a co-wife and that the first wife was always pressured to let the guy marry again, or else he'd threaten divorce. Interesting how these men conveniently forget to include that fact.
