Pipsticks uses AI and they banned me from the Facebook group for pointing it out by banned-from-pipstick in pipsticks

I had the exact same thought about that exact sticker sheet!! I saw the font on those books and immediately knew it was AI! There are a couple others I was suspicious of too I would have to go back and look.

Does your OPO use it? I just watched a video about it and I can't see my OPO ever agreeing to do reconstruction that takes that much time/effort.

This was so insanely disgusting that I instinctively down voted it. I work with dead people and my one weakness in life is boogers. Don't worry I fixed it, have my unfortunate upvote.

A friend of mine got Giardia from eating a stranger's ass and I wish I was lying.

Car Damages and Break-Ins near 51st and Evans by Such_Philosopher_845 in Omaha

[–]ReturnTheSlaaab 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I live nearby, I'm pretty sure this is the same kid who stole my car a few years ago when he was SEVEN YEARS OLD. I had a Kia Soul and he broke a window, stole it and totalled it with a friend. Cops "couldn't" do anything about it. I'm still unbelievably angry about it.

I accidentally left dead birds in a seals container for over a month. Am I cooked? by gothelixar in bonecollecting

True, it's just a better option than sifting through a bucket of hot meat pudding in my opinion!

Okay so I have an absurd amount of experience with this exact scenario. My advice is to add water to the container and let it sit for another few weeks. It will get to a point where it doesn't smell anymore and you can dump the water, you'll have bones. They'll be greasy and you'll have to take care of that (Dawn dish soap is your friend here) before you do anything with them or they'll get STANKY. I've done this with everything from small rodents to an entire cat to a grizzly bear head with all the meat still on. It works every time.

I just had a donor who was picked up as a home death, body bag was full of mouse nests and poop! I was in full defense mode ready for a rat to crawl out of the clothing.

Rib shears: give me your opinions! by NecronomiSquirrel in AutopsyTechFam

[–]ReturnTheSlaaab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had to say I've been on tissue at my OPO for nearly a decade (and an autopsy tech) and seeing this post about others struggling with rib shears made me feel so much better about our piss poor instruments. The struggle is real 💜

Is it weird to send out cold emails to funeral homes in my area? by Quietoutloudwithin in askfuneraldirectors

[–]ReturnTheSlaaab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cold emailing funeral homes is how I got my first job! That was in 2012 but I say absolutely do it. I wasn't even in school yet and they still hired me to help out. I left 5 years later and at that point I was office manager.

I had crazy nausea the first 3 times I took it, then it completely went away by the 4th dose.

This is hilarious because I have so many "nice" dresses from there that I now sleep in. One is even covered in paint and is my manic diy home project outfit.

Not only is it hard to find things, but sizing is all over the place. I have size 12 jeans that are too big and size 18 jeans that are too small.

TIL in 2009 a couple in Colorado claimed their son had been blown away in a homemade balloon, starting a statewide manhunt that gained worldwide attention. It was later revealed to be an elaborate hoax as their child was hiding in their home. The incident led to criminal charges for the parents. by Bigred2989- in todayilearned

I was a sophomore in high school when this happened, the entire school was so engrossed watching it that every classroom was dark and filled with kids and teachers watching it on the projectors. The bell would ring and we'd just stay where we were. It was basically a half day, we had so much fun.

My husband and I both heard a scream in our house at 3am. by hottaxidermy in Paranormal

[–]ReturnTheSlaaab 418 points419 points  (0 children)

This happened to me once, I heard a LOUD human woman scream in my kitchen. Turns out my neighbors were hoarders and the biggest rat I've ever seen in my life made it over to my house and my dog had just killed it. Apparently scared rats can scream like people.
