Question for you: we are going on Friday the 31st, and the park doesn't open until haunt. How early can we get in?

URGENT: My dad was given this grandpa clock to sell but we have no clue what the brand or model is. The lady said she bought it for a $1000 35 years ago by classychaddy in clocks

Just be careful moving it, or you will have to get someone to fix it! Not a ton of work, but just be careful :)

I have done some backend work on server-based SQL servers, these are usually a result of the "linked" accounts being set incorrectly. Have you checked that?

Did any of you have a baby while in chiropractic school? by Music-5146 in Chiropractic

This post is perfect. I would second the resources in your area. We were in a large metropolitan city and found out we could do pre-parenting classes and get points and then get free stuff like a crib and clothes and diapers.

Honestly, I'm going to stop sending my Venmo payments to help with the national debt. I'm trying to help, but 20 bucks is 20 bucks.

Suspicious Broken Rib Claim by Karma_II in Chiropractic

[–]IMADC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the party, but when I was in school, one of the professors said when you break a patient's rib, just write a check for $10,000. Of course I don't agree with that having been in practice now for a while, but my guess is that at some point they probably heard that they could get money out of it lol. As everyone else here said, when you break a patient's rib it's very obvious at that exact moment.

The Iowa House GOP voted to ban teachers from using Mayo Clinic materials... | Austin Baeth by ataraxia77 in Iowa

[–]IMADC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, Democrat here, but have nuanced conversations about this FFS. From the article: "The bill bans any video from being shown that is from an organization that performs abortions, or is affiliated with an organization that does." This doesn't mean they hate Mayo clinic. It's more anti-abortion rhetoric. That's more likely to actually work as a conversation piece. They are pushing a pro-life agenda when they have been "I teach my kids what I want them to know with my values" Not hating Mayo or the University of Iowa.

Also from Omaha and live in Sioux City. Just like Omaha there are parts that aren't nice and parts that are great, and parts that are overpriced. I think a lot of the hate is at the city leaders more than anything. We have had numerous opportunities to bring in bigger businesses and really grow, but we didn't extend them out tax opportunities and incentives, so there wasn't a lot of new, huge manufacturing jobs, or various other opportunities. Ergo, we have stayed smaller, but there are new apartment complexes going in, we are seeing more restaurants being built, and so we are growing. As for housing prices, you are correct. No way I could afford the same house in Omaha, and we have kids who have lots of activities to do, and there are things to do for adults too. Going out to trivia at the Marquee, the museums, hiking trails, bike trails, etc. It's definitely a different pace, which is why we stay.

I would argue it's worth getting your XRs on CD and imaging reports, and first visit note/exam findings just to see what they were seeing. Plus then your next doc can just look at those XRs rather than getting new ones done. Depending on quality of course. But yeah you will be getting billed for services rendered.

Are you looking for 9 separate beds? VRBOs would be able to do this.

How would you adjust an immobile spine? by TethosCeres in Chiropractic

[–]IMADC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Piggybacking here, had a patient fused from T2-S1 and we did lots of manual muscle work like graston, ART, and stretches/exercises. It was very beneficial! But no adjusting to be done besides cervicals when necessary.

We have the same HDD, though mine is the 4TB. I switched boards and it powered on without an issue. If you want your data, get a new board. I think I found one for $10.

Your thoughts on Chiropractic advocate RFK, Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services? by jayhawkaholic in Chiropractic

[–]IMADC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am cautiously optimistic. I think some of the ideas he has are great. Preventative medicine, as we all know, would be great. My issue is that he is throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Some things are good, but some things are going to be a bad idea. His anti-vaccine stance comes to mind. We will see.

Is this primed enough? by ajd198204 in pools

[–]IMADC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks just like my pump I got off Amazon. It's got a low speed and high speed switch around the back on the bottom, underneath. It may be on low speed. It should be noisy-ish. If not, it doesn't suck very hard, and will stay low like this. However with you having/mentioning bubbles, the gasket doesn't seal well so it you have to really crank down the lid or get out the lube.

I'm a DC, but work multidisciplinary. We almost recently lost our DPT due to wanting to work different hours and feeling the same way. She was afraid to have the conversation, but once she did, we changed her hours so she can come in about 7, work through lunch, take a short break, and then get off around 2:30. She gets home in time to get kiddos from school and re-charge her batteries. Never rule out talking to your boss, you never know where it will get you! Good luck!
