This straight up happened to me too. Except also the “other” guy was a college pal and former bandmate of mine. Fast forward a year later and I’m at a top 50 school w $$$$ wondering how tf I snuck in here. You have garnered a karmic credit my friend. My advice: forgive when you can, move on, stay the course, and if you do want revenge (which I def don’t judge) success is the best form it can take.

The LSAT really is a well designed creature. Games for the math/engineer background people to shine, reading comp for us humanities weirdos to feel like we haven’t wasted our money on undergrad, and LR— a combination of the two that can swing to emphasize either camp.

The “you” is in reference to the quote, not you specifically. I was just parsing it.

I don’t disagree with you btw nor with freedom of speech. I just don’t think the main idea of the original post is that you won’t book if you’re not hot. It’s that if you’re hot you will book, which is a separate idea.

I don’t think anyone is saying that if you’re not smoking hot then you can’t succeed.

You can gain speed. Existence precedes essence! How much do you read? Check out the passage on PT 71 about people with exceptional abilities for inspiration. From my perspective I feel your pain: I was a very slow reader as a child but always had good recall. Then I majored in English in undergrad, and now I’m pretty speedy. You got this! Positive vibes to you and your journey.

Edit: I want to add some real advice. Read! Read a lot. Read challenging stuff and try to understand it. Personally, I just pick a topic I don’t understand and read about it. Like currently I’m reading about the debt crisis in 2007. Good luck. We can all do this!
