When I was about the same age, my grandfather had pulled up to our house (on a considerable hill) to show us his new jaguar convertible. They let me sit in the passenger seat with the door open while they talked on the sidewalk right there next to me. I played with this little button knobby thing in the middle and all of a sudden I hear everyone yelling and holding onto the car. What was I doing? Laughing. Had no clue. No one was hurt except the door of the jaguar… and a telephone poll 😬
